KTP v HJK – Will even KTP take advantage of HJK? – Sunday 16:30

May I introduce you to the game of anxiety? KTP is struggling purely with quality, meanwhile HJK are troublesome with quantity. The boys from the docks have neither the money nor the charisma to lure better players, which was exhibited during the last transfer window. HJK’s physical and medical team are giving their best to keep as few players match fit as possible.

KTP had one of their last hopeful chances to take a step away from the bottom when they visited HIFK at Sonera. As expected they could not capitalize from their chances, but managed to keep a clean sheet.

HJK are in such a deep valley of shadow of death, that analyzing their previous defeat at SJK is seemed pointless by most of the team’s supporters. The injury list is expanding, and the fact that a half fit Obed Malolo, who under no circumstances should play for HJK, had to jump in because of another injury in Seinäjoki. While more or less every possible position is affected by injuries, the goalkeepers are fit. Unfortunate to HJK, neither Thomas Dähne nor ex-AIK Daniel Örlund have performed well. Perhaps time to give a chance for the scapegoat Saku-Pekka Sahlgren?

As previously mentioned, HJK’s injury list is reaching infinity. On the bright side no one’s suspended. KTP’s midfielder Valeri Minkenen reached the yellow card limit at HIFK.

Though HJK are all but trustworthy, a home win would still require huge performance by KTP. Let’s go for a game short on goals.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Under 2.5 @ 1.76

RoPS v VPS – Started from the bottom… – Sunday 16:30

…Now VPS are here. The classic Vaasa club are now 10th in the table thanks to their decent form. Considering them being bottom team until this month it really is mentally a huge step forward. Same lame (to be honest) allusion can be used to describe RoPS, who’ve struggled to achieve even a mid-table finish since early 90’s.

The infinitely important home victory in the Ostrobothnian derby against Jaro came after solid defensive performance with a 5-man defensive line, and top scorer Juho Mäkelä playing as a defensive left midfielder, Jamaican loanee Andre Clennon doing most of the offensive job. Now that’s a team performance.

RoPS grabbed an as important win at HJK, former Real Madrid Castilla player Eero Markkanen finally hitting the net. However, I have to slightly, just slightly, take off credit from RoPS win. HJK were forced to make all 3 subs before the first half was over.

Vepsu’s Jerry Voutilainen reached the yellow card limit, while Mikko Viitikko, Denis Abdulahi, and Clifton Miheso are still injured. Koskimaa hurt his head against Jaro, but returned to training immediately and should be able to play. RoPS have no suspensions nor injury worries, despite their season-long injured Jean Fridolin Nganbe Nganbe.

Both teams are on a roll, RoPS having a thirst for gold, while VPS have loosened up the mental stress from relegation battle. With Clennon and Mäkelä I see a good chance for a surprising point loss for RoPS.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: VPS +0.75 @ 1.98

HIFK v SJK – Is HIFK’s poor home run ending? – Monday 16:30

An impressive 5-0 victory at Lahti was followed by a shallow performance against KTP (0-0). Not losing to the bottom team will, however, be enough for the reds to keep a safe distance to both Jaro and KTP.

Visitors SJK wrote a new chapter to HJK’s run of humiliation, as the reigning champs traveled to Seinäjoki for an uninspiring 0-3 loss. Thanks to their win, SJK took the first spot in the table. In middle of all glory, SJK has been shaken and stirred by sudden rumors of coach Valakari leaving for Scottish Motherwell.

No suspensions or injuries in either squad.

Liverpool-loanee Allan de Souza has proved to be August’s transfer window’s top signing, creating more variety to his team’s offense. HIFK could have kept it neat earlier this season, but their form is now too weak contrary to SJK’s.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: SJK -0.5 @1.97
