Groups A & B – Wednesday 26th November

Atl Madrid v Olympiakos – 19:45

Group A is wide open but Atl Madrid can secure qualification with a win, they lost in Greece 3-2 and will look to put that behind them this evening. The Spanish sides record at home in Europe is very impressive, losing only once in 21, winning 19. They’ve won their last 4 at home to nil. Olympiakos have never won in Spain in the UCL and come into this fixture losing their last 4 Champions League games, conceding at least 2 in each. Although Madrid should win this one comfortably, the value lies in backing Atl Madrid -1.25 @ 1.92 on the Asian Handicap.

Malmo FF v Juventus – 19:45

Juventus are big favourites here and are priced up as short as 1.29. With Juvé sitting in third in the group and the top 2 taking on each other this evening, the Italians will be looking for a strong performance to get back into the top 2 with one to play. Malmo are defensively good at home in the Champions League, keeping clean sheets in 8 of their last 9 home matches and have lost only once in their 5 home UCL games this season. The Old Lady haven’t won in their last 6 away UCL matches and have failed to score in 4 of those. Due to Juventus’ short price, the advised trade here is Malmo +1.75 @ 1.93.

FC Basel v Real Madrid – 19:45

Real Madrid secured qualification with their 1-0 win over Liverpool and will be looking to wrap up top spot this evening with only a draw needed against Basel. The Swiss side have had their best ever Champions League campaign with 6 points from their first 4 matches, this is due, in part to their strong defensive home record. Basel have not conceded at home in their last 6 European matches winning 5 of those. That record should come to an end tonight as Real Madrid have scored in 41 of their last 42 UCL matches. Real have won 13 on the bounce and have won 11 of those by more than 1 goal. Real Madrid are very strong and won’t take their foot off the gas too much this evening, Real Madrid -1.5 @ 1.88 should return a profit.

Ludogorets Razgrad v Liverpool – 19:45

Liverpool head to Bulgaria struggling with form both in the UCL and Premier League. In their last 4 Champions League games they have only managed 2 goals with the same statistic applying in the EPL. It doesn’t get much better in defence where The Reds have only kept a clean sheet in 1 of their last 19 games in all competitions. Ludogorets have been better than most expected in their first UCL campaign, beating Basel 1-0 at home and narrowly losing away to Liverpool and at home to Real Madrid 2-1. This match will be very tight and low scoring, backing Ludogorets +0.5 @ 1.92 is a good bet.
