In from Tottenham Hostspur play host to Chelsea this Sunday looking to extend their unbeaten run to 13 in the Premier League.
Chelsea are back to winning ways after edging out Norwich last weekend before thrashing Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Champions League on Tuesday. Tottenham however, are an entirely different proposition, Spurs haven’t lost since the opening day of the season and are arguably the best teams in the league at the moment.
Whilst the other top sides in the BPL struggled last weekend, Spurs narrowed the gap at the top with an impressive win over West Ham, Harry Kane netting a brace. The striker struggled at the start of the season but has now scored 7 goals in his last 4 games.
Tottenham have had a tough schedule so far and the midweek trip to Azerbaijan, beating Qarabag to qualify for the last 32 in the Europa League, wouldn’t have helped.
Pochettino is unlikely to make a lot of changes despite the extensive travel his side have faced, Spurs are one of the fittest teams in the league and confidence is high.
Chelsea still remain short of the form that saw them win the title last season. Last weeks battling win over Norwich was hardly impressive but will have helped with morale.
The Blues have only won one road game from 6 in the league this term and their defensive frailties will make it hard to get anything from this match.
Mourinho will no doubt try to frustrate their opponents and hit them on the counter but this Spurs side has enough to break them down and are also strong at the back.
The hosts are 2.62 favourites which I make a bit big based on current form. CHelsea’s midweek win tells us nothing and they only just scraped a win against Norwich.
This could be a tight match with Chelsea doing everything they can to get anything out of the game. Spurs edge it for me though and are the value on the Asian Handicap betting market to do so.
