Four teams are still undefeated in the Danish Superliga after the first four matches. FC Copenhagen are still on top of the table after the draw 1-1 in Haderslev against SønderjyskE. The other teams with an undefeated start are; FC Midtjylland, Brøndby and Aalborg.
Lyngby v Aarhus – FRIDAY 5TH at 19:15
I recommended Lyngby to win last week and they took an impressive 4-0 win in Silkeborg to 5th position with 7 points. I also recommended Aarhus to win in Esbjerg but they had to settle with a 2-2 draw after a very lively match with a harsh red card for Esbjerg.
Friday night Lyngby will have the chance to get in joint 1st place with FC Copenhagen with a win. It has been a great start to the season for David Nielsen and Lyngby and it might very well get even better tonight. With many experienced players in the squad it is not possible to see that the team has been promoted before the season start.
AGF started the season out very strongly but with only one point in the last two matches they are now in the middle of the table. The draw against Esbjerg might not be the worst result in the history of the club but they got three players injured during the match. Keeper Jovanovic, midfielder Danny Olsen (captain) and midfielder Daniel A. Pedersen will all be out for this match. Furthermore Jens Jønsson is with the Olympic team in Brazil.
With the injuries coach Glenn Riddersholm will have to make changes in the starting lineup which will change the balance of the team. In the latest 10 matches between the teams 8 of them have been over 2.5 goals and the match today looks to be another over 2.5 goals match.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Over 2.5 goals at 1.95
Aalborg v Esbjerg – MONDAY 8th at 18:00
With a late win in Farum against FC Nordsjælland, Aalborg climbed to 4th position last round. The passing and movement from Aalborg was very poor in the first 60 minutes and the young FC Nordsjælland team had great success in stressing with a high pressure. Coach Lars Søndergaard will no doubt work on a plan to avoid this on Monday night.
During the week Aalborg sent striker Nicklas Helenius on loan to Silkeborg which should give Bassogog and Enevoldsen the chance to prove them as a good attacking pair. Midfielder Frederik Børsting and defender Jakob Blåbjerg are with the Olympic team in Brazil and will not be playing.
Esbjerg got the first point of the season against Aarhus with a 2-2 draw after more than 50 minutes playing with only 10 men after the red card for Awer Mabil. The red card is not the only thing Colin Todd has to worry about for the match against Aalborg. Keeper Jeppe Højbjerg and midfielder Casper Nielsen are in Brazil with the Olympic team and defender Jesper Lauridsen is out with a serious injury.
Both teams should get lot of chances in this match and they have played very high scoring matches so far, which I expect to see a very lively match again on Monday evening.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Over 2.75 goals at 1.92
