Criciuma v Brasil de Pelotas Asian Handicap Preview – Friday 16th September by @LewisJones1992

Criciuma v Brasil de Pelotas – Estádio Bento Freitas at 23:15

We have a huge game to look forward to in the Brazilian second division on Friday evening. Criciuma make the long journey to face Brasil de Pelotas. It could prove to be a huge game in the face for promotion this season!

This may not seem like a big game, especially to those that regularly view European football. But in Brazil this is a huge game with both sides still in the race for promotion. Brasil de Pelotas are sitting in third, two points clear of fifth placed Londrina. Criciuma are back in tenth but just four points away from the last promotion place.

We’ll be using the Asian handicap betting market to place our bet on this game. If you use UK bookmakers you’ll struggle to get a price that matches the Asian market. By using Eastbridge’s sports betting brokerage, who have access to the Asian markets, you’ll get quoted thr best prices for this bet.

Criciuma

Criciuma come into this fixture full of confidence after their midweek win over Oeste. Oeste were the favourites at 1.87, but Criciuma dispatched the Sao Paulo based minnows by four goals to nil. Not only is the scoreline impressive, but the way in which Criciuma went about their performance really stands out. They dominated possession from start to finish, allowing Oeste to have just the two efforts at goal. The visitors had 17 shots on target themselves. They controlled the tempo of the game and really put Oeste to the sword.

The Criciuma staff will know that they’re away form is generally poor. If they’re to push for the top four, they’ll really need to rectify that. In their last away game Criciuma were destroyed by three goals to nil against Avai. That scoreline probably flatters the away side. It’s been a regular story for Criciuma over the last few years in both Serie A and B. They’re generally very solid and tough to beat at home but they’re usually in the bottom three or four with regards to their away form come the end of the season.

Brasil de Pelotas

Brasil de Pelotas are just five points behind first placed Vasco who they play at the start of November which could be a huge promotion clash. Nobody expected Pelotas to achieve what they have so far, so anything they do from here is a bonus for them. If results go against them and de Pelotas lose, then they could drop down into 7th position.

Asian Handicap Recommendation

With Cric’s terrible away record this season and their general away form over the last five season, I can’t see them picking up the any points here. We’ll be backing de Pelotas to pick up a competitive three points.
