Sunderland v Man City Asian Handicap Preview – Sunday 5th March by @tashason21

Sunderland v Man City – Stadium of Light at 16:00 live on Sky Sports 1

My latest Asian Handicap preview focuses on Sunday’s Premier League clash between Sunderland and Manchester City.

Sunderland are having a terrible season and as Pep Guardiola’s side are in good form, I can only see one winner in this tie – the visitors.

Sunderland

The Black Cats are in real trouble and sit rock bottom of the Premier League table, 4 points off safety.

They have only won 2 of their last 10 Premier League games, which includes 6 defeats and haven’t won their last 4 games at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland lost 2-0 away to Everton in their last Premier League game and are in desperate need of some points.

Jermain Defoe has been one of the only positives this campaign and has contributed 14 goals in the league to date.

Sunderland have conceded at least 1 goal in 77% of their home matches this campaign and I’m expecting City to put a few past them on Sunday.

Man City

Since Pep Guardiola took charge of Man City, life as a City fan has been full of twists and turns!

One minute City are playing great and at other times they look a complete mess at the back.

Most recently, Man City impressively came from behind to beat Monaco 5-3 in the Champions League (1st leg) and defeated Huddersfield 5-1 in their FA Cup replay, to make it through to the quarter-finals.

City remain 11 points behind league leaders Chelsea however, although they’re undefeated in 8 games across all competitions, winning 6 of these matches.

Sergio Aguero is back on form and the Argentine has scored 4 goals in his last 2 games.

Manchester City have won 69% of their away league matches so far this season and I can only see this number increasing on Sunday.

Asian Handicap Prices

In the reverse fixture back in August, Man City beat Sunderland 2-1 at The Etihad, with goals coming from Aguero, McNair (OG) and Defoe.

As Man City have looked impressive of late, I’m expecting the away side to come away with all 3 points.

Guardiola’s men should win by at least 2 goals and therefore they look value -1.5 on the Asian Handicap market at 1.86.

Asian Handicap Recommendation: Manchester City -1.5 at 1.86
