King Power Stadium – Tuesday 2nd December 19:45
Leicester go into this match as the most out of form team in the Premier League. Since their 5-3 victory over Man Utd, they have not won in 8, having lost 6 and drawn 2. November was a month to forget for the Foxes as they only managed to pick up one point, but after putting 2 past QPR on Saturday, the first goals they scored in 6, they will be looking forward a better December.
Glen Johnson’s late header earned Liverpool a much needed win on Saturday and Brendan Rodgers is hoping that will be the catalyst to kick start Liverpool’s season. The 1-0 home victory over Stoke was their first win in 5 and coming off the back of 3 straight league defeats, Rodgers left Gerrard and a host of other regulars sitting on the bench. Media reports suggested there had been a rift between the Liverpool boss and captain but both were quick to dismiss these rumours. Gerrard has now been offered a new contract and should be back in the starting line-up on Tuesday night. The Reds are still without Sturridge and Balotelli so Lambert should start having scored 2 in his last 3.
Leicester have conceded at least 1 goal in 83% of their home games this season and with Liverpool scoring at least 1 in 83% of their away games, Leicester will be hoping they can add to the 2 goals they scored at Loftus Road. Although Liverpool have lost 67% of their away fixtures this season, I think they will keep it tight at the back and do enough going forward for a narrow victory. Backing Liverpool -0.25 @ 1.83 is a little short, I would recommend backing Liverpool to win @ 2.1.
