North Macedonia v Israel Match Preview – 19th November Tuesday

North Macedonia v Israel – Toše Proeski Arena at 19:45 GMT live at Sky Sports

Austria and Poland beat both North Macedonia and Israel on Saturday evening to ensure Euro 2020 qualification from Group G was sewn up with a round of fixtures still to play. North Macedonia and Israel were the two unlucky losers and the duo complete their campaigns by facing off in Skopje on Saturday evening.

The path to a potential place at next summer’s tournament isn’t completely closed, mind. The two nations have the fallback option of a place in March’s play-offs to look forward to and with this encounter being the pair’s final outing beforehand, both should be fully focussed on putting on an eye-catching display.

North Macedonia have been one of the pool’s entertainers. Written off as no-hopers before a ball was kicked, the Red Lions haven’t been afraid to get forward and play with flair, utilising their skills and attacking threats of Enis Bardhi, Ezgjan Alioski, Aleksander Trajovski, Eljif Elmas and Ilija Nestrorovski.

Macedonia – Group G’s great entertainers

Igor Angelovski’s charges fired blanks in home and away meetings with runaway group winners Poland but Macedonia have managed to notch in all their remaining seven showdowns. And in Skopje, the hosts have only failed to net twice in 17 tussles, even troubling the scoresheet here against Spain.

However, that fearsome frontline hasn’t often been matched by defensive resilience. Macedonia have recorded a solitary clean sheet against rock-bottom Latvia thus far , whilst Gibraltar and Armenia are the only away sides to fail to score here in competitive contests since 2015. Goals are often on the agenda.

Six of the Red Lions’ group games have paid out for Both Teams To Score backers and six of their past nine in Skopje have also crossed the Over 2.5 Goals barrier. A repeat is close to even-money (1.95) on Tuesday night when Israel arrive.

Israel can play their part in enjoyable encounter

Israel were unable to stop a determined Poland outfit in Jerusalem (1-2) last time out but the Blue-Whites again managed to get on the scoresheet. Andi Herzog’s troops boast the twin-threat of Eren Zahavi – top overall qualifying goalscorer – and Sevilla striker Moanes Dabour with the latter grabbing the goal.

The duo have now contributed 15 of the team’s 17 goals in their quest to reach Euro 2020, and like their hosts, Israel have only once failed to score during qualifying. Again similarly, the team’s dodgy defence has held back progress as the Blue-Whites have shipped at least two goals in five of their nine outings.

A whopping seven of Israel’s contests have crossed the Over 2.5 Goals line, with the same figure also returning profit for Both Teams To Score backers. Meanwhile, each of the visitors’ past six games as guests have also featured at least three goals, suggesting the 1.95 on offer for a repeat is too big to ignore.

Asian Total Goals Betting Recommendation: Over 2.50 goals at 1.950
