Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Monchengladbach Asian Handicap Preview ? Saturday 17th October

Frankfurt v Monchengladbach – Commerzbank-Arena at 17.30 live on BT Sport Europe

Eintracht Frankfurt have been famed for their high-scoring ways in recent seasons but the goal-crazy Eagles have lost that tag in recent weeks. Armin Veh?s return to the dugout has coincided with a downturn in humungous goals-per-game ratios and Saturday?s hosts have notched just once in their most recent four.

Only three of Eintracht?s first eight Bundesliga outings have broken the Over 2.5 Goals barrier this term and so going against the grain and opposing a goal-heavy game at the Commerzbank-Arena looks a decent solution.

Frankfurt have failed to record a clean sheet on home soil this season but Veh?s men have seen Under 2.5 Goals bank in each of their past four outings and a repeat at 2.12 holds plenty of appeal. Despite the Bundesliga?s reputation for gung-ho, attacking football, the most popular results in 2015/16 have been a 1-0 away win and the 1-1 stalemate.

Eintracht are unbeaten in 14 in front of their home supporters (W8-D6-L0) but their W2-D2-L2 when hosting top-six clubs last season was mediocre. However, it?s worth pointing out that four of those fixtures featured fewer than three goals and their rejuvenated Saturday evening visitors have been dogged by recent injuries.

Both Patrick Herrmann and Nico Schulz are now out long-term and their absence has threatened to disrupt a very encouraging start under interim boss André Schubert. The Foals signed off for the international break with an impressive 2-0 success at home to big-spending Wolfsburg to make it three wins from three since Lucien Favre?s untimely resignation.

Gladbach can recall influential defender Tony Jantschke for this encounter to bolster their defence and there?s a suggestion Granit Xhaka could also recover in time to take his place in the XI.  With Raffael in outstanding form going forward, the visitors will have their backers this weekend but it?s hard to ignore the bulbous price on Under 2.5 Goals as a better value alternative.

Of the Foals eight away days at top-half Bundesliga teams in 2014/15, six fell below the three-goal line and so when coupled with team news, form and price, the 2.12 on a low-scoring Saturday night showdown is the way to go.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Under 2.5 Goals at 2.12
