Monaco v Juventus Asian Handicap Preview – Wednesday 3rd May by @DarkDyson

Monaco v Juventus – Stade Louis II at 19:45 live on BT Sport 2

The Champions League Semi Final 1st leg in Monaco is my opening Asian Handicap preview this week.

Leonardo Jardim’s electric young team, facing off against Juventus, one of Europe’s true elite teams.

The Principality’s team have enjoyed a glorious season, packed full of excitement and goals, 95 of them in Ligue 1 alone.

Their incredible attacking play has seen them blow away teams in the Champions League as well.

Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City before them were unceremoniously dumped out of the competition after being unable to keep up with Monaco’s scoring exploits.

Kylian Mbappe and co, racked up three goals in each of the home and away leg games against Dortmund and City.

However, in this semi final they will face Europe’s best defence, in a real clash of styles.

The old lady of Italian football is on the brink of yet another Serie A title, but their main goal is Champions League glory.

They were magnificent in the previous round against Barcelona, where they held Europe’s top scoring attack to zero goals over the two legs.

On top of that in the first leg at home, they displayed a ruthless streak in front of goal to all but kill off the tie in a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Having dealt with Barcelona’s attacking trio MSN so comprehensively and not conceded a single goal in 5 Champions League matches, they will be confident of knocking out Monaco.

Asian Handicap Prices & Data…

The markets have Juventus as 2.42 favourites to win this first leg encounter in Monaco.

On the Asian Handicap line you can currently back the visitors at 2.11 on the -0.25 line, while Monaco +0.25 is at 1.85.

The Asian Total Goals line is set at 2.5 with Over available at 1.97 and Under at 1.96.

Looking at these prices and the past data, both Juventus and the Under 2.5 Goals prices look attractive.

However, taking the Unders in any Monaco game this season would not be a profitable option.

They struggle to defend at the best of times and Juventus, although great at defending, will still try to score an all important away goal.

Monaco have come up short in a couple of big games this season and I believe against Juventus, their Champions League adventure will come to an end.

Asian Handicap Recommendation: Juventus +/- 0 (DNB) at 1.77

Prices correct at time of writing.
