Super Sunday has two cracking games for Asian handicap betting professionals to get stuck into and first up is Manchester United’s visit to Merseyside for their match against Everton, which once again sees Wayne Rooney pitted against his old club.

Roberto Martinez might not want to admit that his clubs exit from the Europa League is the main reason for their recent upturn in fortunes, but since they bowed out to Dynamo Kiev the Toffee’s have won three and drawn one of four league games.

That unbeaten run has seen them ease away from the relegation zone and with five games still to play they can look up at the teams above them and the possibility of a top half finish. When you consider how poor they have been this season that really would be quite an achievement, despite beginning the campaign with much loftier ambitions.

Louis Van Gaal’s first year in charge of Manchester United has been a strange one from the start, after an encouraging pre-season tour many got carried away with their expectations about the new side he was building. But, a slow start to the season put his task quickly into perspective and then without seeming to know his best team or even formation they started winning.

Despite continuing to play well below par they kept racking up the points and then the team and formation became apparent and they started playing good football as well as winning and dominating matches, almost like United of old.

Before Saturday’s loss at champions elect Chelsea United had won six games in a row and had only lost once in eleven league outings. That scintillating form saw them not only leapfrog rivals Man City and Liverpool but also included wins against both of them too.

Despite last week’s defeat the pre-season target of qualifying for the Champions League looks to be well within their grasp and nine more points from their remaining five games should be enough to guarantee a top four finish.

Everton usually have a strong record at home but this season they have really struggled against teams in the top half, with only two wins from eight against top half teams at Goodison Park. But the one thing that Manchester United have struggled with this term, is winning away from home. Van Gaal’s side only have two road wins against teams from the bottom half.

However they were excellent last week, despite defeat at Chelsea and if they perform at that level again on Sunday, Everton are unlikely to be able to live with the Red Devils. However, the Asian handicap betting line for the match is 0.25 and the value is with the home team who have beaten United on their last two trips to Goodison.

This should be an entertaining and close match between two sides that are enjoying their football at the moment and with the value on the Toffee’s and confidence high, we will be backing Everton to at least take a point from the game on Sunday.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Everton +0.25 at 2.06
