ELFSBORG v SIRIUS
Elfsborg is without points after the first two rounds. The same goes for Sirius, who only played one game so far. Their first home game of the seasons was canceled due to a bad pitch. Elfsborg should be a team for the top half this season – Sirius should be a team for the bottom half.
Elfsborg has some question marks ahead of this game. The best offensive player, Simon Lundevall came off early in the last round with stomach problems. He is a doubt here. Otherwise, Stefan Ishizaki returns from suspension.
Sirius has a pretty weak defensive if we look player to player. Offensively on the other hand – they look interesting with Maholli, Vecchia, Lundholm, Ogbu, and Eddahri. Ahead of this game Eddahri, who maybe is the best player in the squad, is a doubt.
Elfsborg is historically a strong home side. There isn’t any doubt that Elfsborg has their strength in the attack. Last season, they conceded the most goals in the league but still grabbed a decent spot in the middle of the table. Ahead of this season, they haven’t really made any big changes, except coach Jimmy Thelin. Sirius hasn’t really got the economy to sign any top players. The squad is decent and last year, they performed well. This season should be tougher and if they have to start without Eddahri, I think they will be in trouble here.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Elfsborg -0.50 at 1.780
HÄCKEN v DALKURD
What happened to these two teams last round? Häcken lost against newcomer Brommapojkarna and the trio Faltsetas, Irandust, and coach Alm were shown the red card. Dalkurd, who is another new side in the league, smashed the top-seeded Östersund with 3-0 at home after a nice double from the new signing Buya Turay.
Sure, Häcken will be without Faltsetas and Irandust who is suspended, together with coach Alm. Also, in the central defense, Ojala is out with an injured hamstring. But Häcken has e decent squad with a lot of good replacements.
Dalkurd will come down to Hisingen with great confidence after the 3-0 win last round. Buya Turay showed his potential right away with two great goals. Also, players like Sugita, Strand, and Amin showed that they are really good players.
Häcken at home is always an attacking team. It is the club’s system to play an attacking football and the new coach Andreas Alm is far more offensively balanced than last year coach, Micke Stahre. The replacement for the suspended players is also at a good level and shouldn’t bring any problem. Dalkurd has played good in the first two games and with Buya Turay, I’m pretty confident that they will score at least once here.
Asian Total Goals Betting Recommendation: Over 2.5 goals at 1.925
ÖSTERSUND v IFK GÖTEBORG
This is the third time in a row I put money on Östersund. First two proved to be wrong, so let’s say that this is the last chance. After two straight loss and zero goals scored, they face IFK Göteborg at home and it sure is time to step up for the home side.
Östersund will be without Aiesh here after he suffered an injured hamstring in the last round against Dalkurd. Hopefully, Tekie will be back and available for Östersund.
IFK Göteborg grabbed three quite easy points in the first round against Trelleborg. Last round was a disappointment against Hammarby at home. IFK Göteborg lost late and actually, they didn’t deserve a point there. The game plan was bad and Hammarby was the better team.
Östersund has zero points and has scored zero goals, but they also have dominated the possession in the games. Lack of concentration and lack of attitude the final third of the field has been the problem and I think they will be highly motivated here after the bad start. Against IFK Göteborg who still is early in the new project, I really do think Östersund will grab the first W of the season.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Östersund -0.50 at 1.730
