The 27th round of the Danish Superliga will be played this weekend. FC Copenhagen still cruising in 1st place 7 points clear of the big surprise SønderjyskE. Friday and Saturday will feature two matches: AGF v Viborg and Hobro v SønderjyskE.
AGF v VIBORG FF – FRIDAY 29th
Two teams in poor form at the moment will play on Friday evening at CERES PARK in Aarhus. AGF are in 11th place with 3 points from their last 6 matches and Viborg FF are 9th with 6 points from the last 6 matches. I’m not expecting fireworks in this match as AGF will be focusing on the Cup Final next week against FC Copenhagen. This could be an advantage for Viborg FF and a good turning point after some poor results.
AGF might rest some of their key players and with Morten “Duncan” Rasmussen out due to suspension, Viborg FF have a good chance to build on their good streak against AGF. Viborg FF have George Fochive and Kristoffer Pallesen out suspended, whilst Serge Demblé, Osama Akharraz, Mikkel Vestergaard and Mikkel Rask are all injured.
With AGF conceding two goals in the 5 of the last 6 matches it will be difficult to win this match. Viborg got a good 1-1 draw at home against FC Copenhagen in the last round and picked up some momentum.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Viborg FF +0 at 2.06
HOBRO v SØNDERJYSKE – SATURDAY 30th
Last season Hobro was the fairytale in Danish football with great results beating most of the big clubs and surviving their first season at the highest level. The fairytale has ended and Hobro will be the only team relegated from the Superliga this season, as a new structure will be made in the professional leagues. With 12 points from 26 matches and only scoring 19 goals, things are not funin Hobro. For this match they will be without Jonas Damborg and Jacob Tjørnelund due to suspensions.
SønderjyskE have taken over the fairytale and rank 2nd in the standings at the moment. A huge surprise and it does not seem to stop here. With 11 points in the last 6 matches beating FC Midtjylland and AaB really show the capacity of the team. Both teams only have 43% ball possession this season and the very straight forward attacking style from SønderjyskE is the reason for this.
Hobro have an average of 9,3 finishes and SønderjyskE 11,5 each match. Not a significant difference but the scoring efficiency for SønderjyskE is 14% and Hobro only 7% which is the reason for 42 goals scored by SønderjyskE and only 19 by Hobro.
The motivation is also a key factor in this match and SønderjyskE are eying the best results in the clubs history and the team spirit is at its high right now. Should be match with SønderjyskE in control.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: SønderjyskE -1 at 2.25
