Sunderland v Man Utd Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 13th February by @SC457

Sunderland v Man Utd – Stadium of Light at 12:45 live on BT Sport 1

Sunderland welcome Man Utd to the Stadium of Light this Saturday lunchtime looking for their first league win in 5 matches. The Red Devils improved recent form see’s them go into the match as favourites and I’m confident backing them to come away with 3 points.

2016 started well for the Black Cats, winning their first two matches, against fellow relegation contenders, Aston Villa and Swansea. Since then however, they have picked up just 2 points from a possible 12 but in fairness to them, it’s been a very tough run of fixtures, facing Tottenham, Man City, Liverpool and now Man Utd.

Without a win in four and 4 points adrift of safety, things aren’t looking good for the Mackems but their morale would have been lifted having fought back from 2-0 down to earn a point at Anfield last time out. They have only failed to score in 8 of their 25 matches this season and will certainly have a go on Saturday as they desperately need the points.

They have only managed to defeat their opponents twice in their last 26 meetings though and against a much improved Utd side, I can’t see them adding to that this weekend.

Under pressure Louis Van Gaal has now lost just one league match in his last seven but it looks increasingly likely that whatever happens between now and the end of the season, he’ll be out in the summer.

Man Utd are 6 points adrift of the top 4 and haven’t won back to back games since November. They were unlucky not to come away from Stamford Bridge with all 3 points last weekend but forgotten are the dark days of December when they went 6 league games and 8 in all competitions without a win.

They are attacking with more fluidity and confidence as LVG seems to have taken off the shackles. Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial look more confident and the teams general performance has much improved.

They ran out comfortable winners in their last two meetings against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, scoring 5 without conceding. I don’t think it’s going to be an easy match for Utd, but one I expect them to win and at 1.83 -0.5 on the Asian Handicap betting market, they are a generous price to do so.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Man Utd -0.5 at 1.83
