The RSM Classic Betting Preview – Thursday 19th November by @RobBanner_

The RSM Classic – St.Simons Island, Georgia live on Sky Sports 4

Formally known as the McGladrey Classic, the RSM Classic gets underway on Thursday and it’s the final PGA Tour event of the year. It’s a relatively new tournament on the schedule and was first played in 2010. The RSM Classic is a good opportunity for some of the lesser players to record their first victory at this level, and that was the case for Robert Streb last year. The field isn’t a particularly strong one, but the likes of Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker are all competing. Zach Johnson is the bookies favourite and is followed in the betting by Justin Thomas and Matt Kuchar.

The Seaside Course has hosted the previous five renewals of this event, however this year it will only be used for three rounds, and will rotate with the Plantation Course before the cut is made. Both courses are located at St.Simons Island, Georgia and blustery conditions are common. It is no secret that many of the field train at this week’s venue and they certainly have a slight advantage this week. The Seaside course is a par 70 that measures 7,055 yards and consists of twelve par 4’s, which is more than the average PGA Tour venue, and par 4 performance has proved to be beneficial. At 7,055 yards, the course isn’t particularly long and previous renewals of this event indicate that accurate drivers of the ball fare best around this track.

Patton Kizzire – Web.com graduate, Patton Kizzire won more money than any other player on the Web.com Tour and recorded a remarkable twelve top 10’s in 23 starts. He’s had an excellent start to life on the PGA Tour, he’s finished 2й, 4го and 58го in his first three starts, which shows he’s not out of place at this level. The American is undoubtedly very talented, he’s a superb putter and he ranked 2й in par 4 performance on the Web.com Tour last year. In my opinion, it won’t be long before Kizzire picks up his first PGA Tour title and at 40/1 he’s a great bet this week.

2 очка в каждую сторону @ 40/1

Brian Harman – Brian Harman lives in Georgia and spends his time training at the Sea Island Golf Performance Centre, and unsurprisingly, he has a decent record in this event. Harman has finished 41улица, 10го and 27го in his only three starts in the McGladrey Classic, this indicating that the Seaside Course is a venue he can go well around. Last year, Brian recorded his first victory on the PGA Tour and has established himself as a good PGA Tour player. He’s made a solid start to the 2015/16 season, he tied for 7го in the CIMB Classic just three weeks ago and the American’s game appeared to be in good shape in last week’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba. All in all, Harman’s a good bet at 50/1 this week as it’s a course that suits and he’s playing some good golf at present.

1,75 пункта в каждую сторону @ 50/1

Michael Thompson – Like Brian Harman, Michael Thompson also lives and trains nearby this week’s venue. His game is clearly in great shape, even if the results aren’t making it obvious, he’s been 4го and 10го after 36 holes in his last two starts. The American has a very good record at the Sea Island Resort, he tied for 3й in 2011 and finished 10го in 2012, which suggests it is a golf course he can win around. Odds of 80/1 are an error in my opinion and hopefully he’ll prove me right on Sunday afternoon with a victory.

1pt each way @ 80/1
