Sweden v Denmark Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 14th November by @SC457

Sweden v Denmark – Friends Arena, Solna at 19:45 live on Sky Sports 1

Two of international footballs oldest rivals go head to head this evening as Sweden host Denmark in the 1st leg of their Euro 2016 play-off.

The hosts are looking to make a return to a major competition after losing out to Portugal in their play-off for the 2014 World Cup.

Sweden finished 3rd in Group behind Russia and Austria and boss Erik Hamren would have hope for better from his side.

Despite Sweden’s narrow favouritism to make it to next summers finals, the pressure is on Denmark after a disappointing qualifying campaign. The Danes finished in third place behind Portugal and Albania.

Finishing behind minnows Albania would have left Danish fans furious and if Morten Olsen doesn’t guide his team to the finals next summer, it could cost him his job.

As we’ve seen in the first two play-offs, the trend continues for low scoring 1st legs and I’m expecting the same here.

Denmark will approach the game with caution knowing a draw would leave them in a good position for the second leg on Tuesday. They will be happy to soak up the pressure and try to keep Sweden at bay.

Under 2.5 goals is too short for me to recommend at 1.57 but there is some value to be had on the Asian Handicap betting market.

Sweden know they need to take a lead into Tuesday’s 2nd leg and can break down Denmark’s defence. They are favourites to win at 2.40 but I’m recommending backing them -0.25 at 2.11 on the Asian Handicap betting market.

It will be a tight match between two arch-rivals but should still provide us with some entertainment and another winner.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Sweden -0.25 at 2.11
