Tottenham v West Brom Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Monday 25th April by @SC457

Tottenham v West Brom – White Hart Lane at 20:00 live on Sky Sports 1

Time is running out for Tottenham in their bid to chase down Leicester City at the top of the Premier League. They host West Brom this evening with a game in hand over the Foxes but 8 points adrift, with 4 left to play.

The north Londoners can’t be doing much more than they already are, with the best goals scored record of 64, and the fewest conceded of 25 going into the 35th round of fixtures.

They have won 4 of their last 5 in the league, all without conceding and put in an incredible performance at the Britannia Stadium last Monday night, sticking 4 past the Potters without reply, and it could have been a lot more.

It was arguably one of the best all round displays in the BPL this season, yet Leicester look increasingly likely to be crowned champions. The Foxes put in a fantastic performance yesterday, thrashing Swansea 4-0 which saw their odds to lift the title shorten to 1.22, but Spurs will not give up hope and I expect them to continue to play without any pressure.

Having won their last two league matches at Lane 3-0, in addition to their superb display last week against Stoke, it’s no wonder Tottenham head into tonight as 1.22 favourtires. They face, in my opinion, the worst team in the league who won’t be relegated in West Brom and have been struggling for points since they secured the Premier League status.

Wins over Everton, Man Utd and Crystal Palce, along with a 2-2 draw against Leicester in February and March helped them reach the magical 40 points. The Baggies were steadily climbing the table and on that form were pushing for a top half finish, however, since then, they have been awful.

Earning just 1 point from their last 5 league matches, West Brom have lost 4 scoring just once and drew 0-0 with Sunderland in the other. They have also managed to register just 3 shots on target in their last 3 away matches and against the leagues tightest defence, I can’t see them even getting on the score sheet tonight.

With such a short price on Spurs, we can find some value on the Asian Handicap betting market, backing them -2. They are playing with such conviction going forward and shouldn’t have any problems in creating a hat-full of chances even against a West Brom side who will be set up very defensively.

Another comfortable home win is on the cards and I think Spurs can come out, get an early lead and will not take their foot off the gas.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Tottenham -2 at 2.10
