Tottenham V Arsenal Asian Handicap Preview – Sunday 30th April by @DarkDyson

Tottenham V Arsenal – White Hart Lane at 16:30 live Sky Sports 1

The North London Derby on Sunday afternoon is my final Asian Handicap preview of the week.

Mauricio Pochettino & his team are still valiantly claiming they are in a title race, so this Derby is even more important than ever.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger is still clinging onto his job despite everything that has gone on recently.

Tottenham…

Tottenham have been nothing short of scintillating this season and are on a run of eight straight victories.

Last season’s collapse in the final weeks of their title race against Leicester City, seem a distant nightmare now.

It is quite a remarkable achievement, especially considering that Pochettino failed to improve his squad over the summer.

However, that goes a long way to confirming that a young team that stay together will improve through shared experience.

But, if they don’t catch Chelsea this season, will they be able to hold onto their stars again in the summer.

Plus, will playing home games at Wembley while White Hart Lane is rebuilt derail the progress they have made.

Arsenal…

As Spurs stride forward as genuine Premier League title contenders again Arsenal are going in the other direction.

Even their once coveted position of fourth in the league is under serious threat a defeat here to their bitter rivals could well condemn the Gunners to the Europa League.

Wenger continues to defy the pressure from fans and media alike to step aside & by all accounts he will sign an extension in the summer.

However, he has finally shown some willingness to try and address some of his tactical failings.

The Gunners recently switched formations to a 3-4-3 and/or 3-4-2-1 depending on the match.

Neither option has stunning results yet, but two wins in a row is a step in the right direction.

Especially after two wins in just eight league games prior to that, but can they step up this weekend?

Asian Handicap Prices & Data…

Spurs are odds on favourites to win the match at an average price of 1.85, while Arsenal can be backed at 4.10.

This puts the main Asian Handicap line at +/-0.5, which based on my model looks about right.

The Asian Total Goals market has a line of three goals for this match, with Overs at 1.91 and Under at 2.02.

Spurs have conceded just eight goals at home all season and kept home clean sheets against both Chelsea and Manchester City.

Arsenal despite scoring away in all eight of their games against top half opponents, only have one road win in those eight games.

Spurs like to start fast, especially at home and I think they will have too much for Arsenal on Sunday.

Asian Handicap Recommendation: Tottenham FH -0.25 at 2.08
