HIGHEST AVERAGING SCORERS OF 2018/19 SEASON

Point average is the most important element in an NBA player’s statistics. It is crucial in defining the quality of a team’s performance and would gravely affect the outcome of matches.

The point average is quite dynamic and these could change over time, but dramatic changes such as sudden fall or rise are relatively uncommon.

Here are some of the highest averaging players in the NBA so far this current league season:

10. Zach LaVine – 23.8 pts.
Chicago’s Zach LaVine is sensational with his aesthetically pleasing performances slamming dunks whether be it reversed or one-handed. He made 20 points out of the Bulls’ match at home with the Sacramento Kings.

9. Paul George and Kemba Walker – 24.9 pts.
33 points have been dropped by Oklahoma City’s Paul George, contributing to Thunder’s 110-104 victory over the Clippers, while he chips 24 to help the team beat the Bulls 121-96 last Thursday.

George shares the ninth place of the top 10 highest point averages with Charlotte’s Kemba Walker at 24.9 points a game. Walker scored 31 points and 9 assists in Hornets’ wild win against the Pistons.

8. Blake Griffin – 25.4 pts.
There is no other 20-point averager in Detroit than Blake Griffin at 25.4 points. He recently went sensational after recording a triple-double in their 107-104 loss to the Bucks where he recorded 19 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds, and one steal in 35 minutes.

7. Kawhi Leonard – 26.3 pts.
Toronto’s Kawhi Leonard is the team’s current top point scorer at 26.3 and in rebounds as well at 8.4. He made 28 points in the Raptors’ 128-122 loss to the Trail Blazers.

6. Joel Embiid – 26.4 pts.
Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid made a career-high 40 points like an MVP in the 76ers 113-101 loss to the Pacers. Embiid is the first Sixer to score at least 30 points, and 20 rebounds since Charles Barkley back in 7th December 1990.

5. Giannis Antetokounmpo – 26.8 pts.
Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo is NBA’s current reigning ‘Dunk Lord.’ Antetokounmpo is the leading dunker in league so far at 123, averaging 4.6 dunks per game. Aside from that, he is also the fifth highest averaging player in points per game at 26.8. He dropped 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Bucks’ win over the Pistons, matching Griffin’s triple-double last Tuesday.

4. Damian Lillard – 27.3 pts.
Portland’s Damian Lillard point average went to 27.3 a game from last season’s 26.9. He made 34 points in the Trail Blazers’ 111-103 fall to Houston Rockets, and 28 points in their 113-105 win over Timberwolves.

3. LeBron James and Anthony Davis – 28.0 pts.
Well, it is no surprise that LeBron is still in the top 10. LeBron made 36 points in their 115-110 loss to the nets.

Living Legend LeBron is sharing the third place with New Orleans’ Anthony Davis at 28.0 points per game. Davis chipped 27 points in the Pelicans’ loss to Miami.

2. Kevin Durant – 28.8 pts.
Warriors’ Kevin Durant currently beats LeBron’s 28 flat point average per game with 0.8 points ahead. Complementing Golden State’s star Stephen Curry, Durant is one of the key players in the Warriors’ skyrocketing success in the league’s current history.

1. James Harden – 31.5 pts.
Houston Rockets is the only NBA player averaging around 30 points per game. His terrifying 50-point triple-double made a crucial role in Houston’s 126-111 humiliation of Los Angeles Lakers, driving past LeBron’s 29 points that Friday night.

Harden also made 29 points in Houston’s 111-104 win over Portland last Wednesday, and 27 to beat the Warriors last November.
