Molde v Tromso & Start v Lillestrom
It’s a welcome return of the Norwegian Tippilaegen as the new season kicks off this weekend, and one of Europe’s most entertaining leagues offers a couple of decent looking bets for Sunday. The first of the previewed games features Molde as they host Tromso at 2.30pm kick off UK time.
All throughout last season, despite a couple of exceptions with a couple of the promoted teams, the league was played a frenetic pace with attacking formations, leading to plenty of goals. Molde were no exception and bagged over 2 goals a game throughout the entire season.
Tromso found it tough to get competative on the road in 2015 and finished only 1 spot above the relegation places. Early goals conceded were a huge problem, as they fell behind in more than 85% of their fixtures.
Ordinarily the over 2.5 goals market would look an automatic choice however for the purposes of value, you may be better off extending the line and going for over 3.5. Their were 4 or more goals in 10 out of the last 15 Molde home matches last season, and considering the goals tally for Molde went over on 83% of the time against bottom 6 side, it seems the percentage call.

The second selection from Norway comes from one of the later kick offs, as Start host Lillestrom in a 7pm kick off UK time.
Start find themselves very lucky indeed, to still be in the Tippilaegen for 2016. For nearly all of last season they struggled to string together any sort of form and survived the automatic drop by a single point.
They can attribute most of their troubles to their defensive frailties, they conceded 7 more goals than anyone other team that stayed up. It seemed irrespective of whether it was home or away, Start conceded goals.
Although, Lillestrom would be on the more conservative end of the spectrum as far as the goals heavy Tippilaegen is concerned, backing over 2.5 goals when top half teams head to Start landed on 10 out of 10 occasions in 2015.
I see no reason for the trend to be any different and although I wouldn’t put anyone off backing Lillestrom at 2.34, the solid choice has to be over 2.5 goals at 1.88.
