Superliga Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Sunday 6th March by @ChrisOgle2

Esbjerg v Randers & Sonderjyske v Brondby

The long Danish footballing winter has drawn to a close and after a near 3 month break, the Superliga is back up and running. Even better news is that there are a couple of games with excellent looking betting angles this weekend.

First up is the game at 12pm lunchtime UK time on Sunday as relegation strugglers Esbjerg host mis table Randers in a game that looks almost guaranteed to be cagey. Without question, Randers have clearly the more capable squad but are relatively poor travellers. Despite that they would have to fancy their chances against a side that has only scored more than 2 goals once this season.

Rather than trying boil down the complexities of the match odds market, there is a hugely compelling case to be made for unders in the 2.25 goals market.

Esbjerg always look to keep it tight against top half teams at home with 75% of their gomes against top 6 teams resulting in under 2.5 goals. To amplify matters, Randers on the road, irrespective of who they play, only have one man up front and also look to earn their points through solidity at the back. So much so that in their last 8 games against bottom 6 sides, not a single game has gone over 2.5 goals.

Keep this simple, back under 2.25 goals at 1.95 and collect.

Later on at 3pm, it’s a battle of 4th playing 5th as Sonderjyske host Brondby in a likely 6 pointer in the battle for a European slot.

Sonderjyske have surprised a few people in the early part of this season, myself included, in being able to pick up enough results to challenge for Europe. However based on the overall balance of play, this has been far from undeserved. Their main improvement has been the ability to see of games when getting in front and come into this game having collected 10 points from a possible 12.

Brondby have a stronger squad, and are still expected to overhaul Sonderjyske for that spot by the time the end of season arrives, but they are likely worth opposing coming into this game.

Despite the home advantage for Sonderjyske, the bookmakers rate Brondby 5/4 (2.25) favourites. For me, this feels like an absolute pick em if not making Sonderjyske the marginal favourites.

Looking into the Asian markets, you can back Sonderjyske getting a quarter goal advantage at 2.00 and it feel a quarter goal too much. Back Sonderjyske here in the Asian market and collect a half win for a draw, and a full win should Sonderjyske see them off.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Under 2.25 goals Esberg v Randers at 2.00

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Sonderjyske +0.25 at 2.00
