Sunderland v Middlesbrough Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Sunday 21st August by @SC457

Sunderland v Middlesbrough – Stadium of Light at 13:30 live on Sky Sports 1

Sunderland and Middlesbrough are involved in a Tyne-Tees derby this Sunday at the Stadium of Light and there is some value on the Asian Handicap betting market for the shrewd punter.

Newly promoted Middlesbrough’s main aim this season will be to stay up. Simple as that. They already had a decent team with plenty of experience from last season, but they have added to their squad cleverly and have all the components to achieve their goal.

Aitor Karanka, former assistant to Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid has done well so far a Boro manager and will feel he has something to prove this season and establish his side as a Premier League club.

Signings like Alvaro Negredo, Gaston Ramirez and Victor Valdes will certainly help his chance of doing so and fans will be confident and pleased at the level of players Karanka and the club can attract.

They opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Sunderland. Avoiding defeat will have pleased the Boro boss and the fans, but once settled they will look to their home fixtures as games they need to earn as many points as they can.

Sunderland and Sam Allardyce produced what some might call a miracle last season in preserving their top flight status. Big Sam has departed over the Summer which would understandably be a cause for concern for people affiliated with the club, but in new boss, David Moyes they have a manager with a lot of Premier League experience

It’s early days for Moyes, but even though they suffered defeat in their opening match against one of the title favourites, Man City, he will be pleased with his sides performance.

An 87th minutes own goal from substitute defender Paddy McNair was the difference in their 2-1 defeat, but a draw would have been a fair result.

It’s a long season, and one that I expect that Black Cats to struggle in once again, but for me they offer some value on the Asian Handicap betting market this Sunday.

With home advantage and more top flight experience, I do not see Sunderland coming away from this one with nothing. Boro will put up a good fight but backing the Mackems +/-0 (Draw No Bet) at 1.97, is my recommendation.

There should also be some goals in this game and with the Asian line at 2.25, Overs at odds against is worth a few quid and I expect it to shorten up so get on it quick,

Азиатский гандикап Recommendation: Sunderland +/- 0 at 1.97 at Over 2.25 goals at 2.11
