Stoke v West Ham Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Sunday 15th May by @DarkDyson

Stoke v West Ham – Britannia Stadium at 15:00

The final day of the Premier League season is upon us and it will be almost completely void of any real drama or excitement in terms of the title race, European qualification or relegation.

Sky Sports can’t be happy about the midweek result’s, where Manchester United blew a 2-1 lead at West Ham to lose 3-2, while Sunderland crushed Everton 3-0 at the Stadium of Light.

Those two results meant that the relegation battle was over before the final round of matches and only a near miracle can see Utd overtake neighbours Manchester City in 4го place.

So, that leaves me previewing Stoke v West Ham and although there isn’t a huge amount to play for as described, the Hammers could still overtake Utd in 5го and guarantee Europa League football next season.

While, Stoke need a win to guarantee a top half finish and it is their last home game of the season, so hopefully they will be keen to put on a solid performance for their loyal fans.

Mark Hughes’s Stoke seemed to have lost their edge at the Britannia this season, it is usually such a tough place to go and win for most teams, but this year they have suffered seven defeats in front of their own fans.

However, their record at home against the top six is still as good as they could have hoped for. They have won two, drawn two and lost one against the current top five with 6го placed West Ham visiting on Sunday.

Unfortunately, the Potters current form is just about as bad as any in the league with no wins in their previous six games. Their fans will be expecting a lot more from a team, which is packed with talented players and is playing their last home game of the season.

West Ham’s away record form this season has been excellent, they have picked up more points on the road than all but the league’s top three teams. But, they have struggled a little against teams in and around Stoke.

Defeats at Southampton and Watford, on top of draws at Chelsea and Swansea give them a mixed record, despite high scoring wins against both Merseyside clubs.

The last day of the season is notorious for being packed full of goals, even in games which you would not typically expect to see many chances.

Obviously, the bookies have taken this into account and the prices are pretty short on Over 2.5 Goals, but I think we can be more daring here and go to the next line up.

50% of Stoke’s home games and 67% of West Ham’s away games have finished with at least three goals. But, the stats are even more in favour of goals if we look at recent results.

Seven of Stoke’s last eight matches have seen at least three goals and four of those also saw at least four goals go in. West Ham have also been involved in high scoring affairs of late with all of their last eight games ending with at least three goals.

Incredibly, on top of this seven of those had four or more goals and three of them had five or more!

With plenty of attacking players on display and the relaxed & enjoyable atmosphere of the last game of the season, both teams should be able to play freely and surely the goals will flow.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Over 2.75 Goals at 1.81
