Stoke City v Manchester City Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 20th August by @SC457

Stoke v Man City – Britannia Stadium at 12:30 live on Sky Sports 1

There’s plenty of value for Asian Handicap betting punters in this Saturday’s Premier League lunchtime kick off as Man City travel to Stoke.

Pep Guardiola’s first taste of Premier League football ended in victory last weekend, but it wasn’t easy. The Citizen’s nicked a 2-1 win at the Etihad over David Moyes’ Sunderland, thanks to an own goal from substitute defender Paddy McNair. The former Man Utd player was on the pitch for just 4 minutes before the mistake in the 87th minute.

It wasn’t the prettiest of performances from City, but Guardiola will be happy to open the new season with 3 points. It’s still early days for the former Barca and Bayern Munich manager but it already clear what players are and are not part of his plans.

Joe Hart has been told he has no future at the club and it is expected he will leave before the transfer window closes. Raheem Sterling seems to be in favour and new signings Stones and Nolito went straight into the starting XI.

Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva and Sergio Aguero are all still key players and will have to be at their best if they are to end this match with another 3 points, something they’ve managed to do just once in 8 visits to the Britannia. A run which includes 2 defeats and 5 draws.

In those 8 matches, City have managed just 8 goals, as Stoke do well at stifling the big teams at home.

The Potters opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw away to newly promoted Middlesbrough. It was a fair result for both teams and a fairly typical performance from Mark Hughes’ side.

Stoke’s only real addition to the squad over the Summer was Joe Allen from Swansea and once fully fit and settled in, he should run things from the midfield. Hughes has changed things up since he took over from Tony Pulis, slowly turning Stoke into a better footballing side.

Marco Arnautovic and Xherdan Shaqiri are two key players in attack, both possessing pace and skill, who should cause City’s defence some problems this Saturday.

Stoke’s record against the Citizen’s at home is excellent, keeping things tight, making themselves very difficult to beat. Their price of 5.47 to win this one looks big and I think they have been under-estimated. They are great value +0.75 on the Asian Handicap betting market at even money.

There is also some value on the goals market. When looking at Man City’s attacking quality, we expect goals, however, 7 of the two sides last 8 meetings at Stoke have all seen Under 2.5 goals. With 2.10 on offer for that trend to continue, it’s certainly worth backing.

Азиатский гандикап Recommendation: Stoke +0.75 at 2.0 & Under 2.5 at 2.10
