San Marino v England Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 5th September by @jbanksy91

San Marino v England – San Marino Stadium at 17:00 live on ITV 1

Where do we start with this one? How do you find value in a game where England, are expected to win by about 50 goals?!?!

Well before we do let’s talk England. I’ve been impressed by Roy Hodgson’s side in qualifying but don’t we say that almost every qualification campaign? It’s getting the same job done in the finals that troubles us!

England will beat San Marino, there is no doubt about that but it’s by how many and what records are broken a long the way that matters.

Wayne Rooney is one goal behind Sir Bobby Charlton’s all time England goal scoring record and Saturday should be the night that record changes. Rooney gets plenty of stick for not fully fulfilling his potential but let’s credit the captain. He has been one of England’s most consistent players and to top the goal scoring list shows exactly how good he has been for his country.

San Marino offer very little in the way of threat to England. In the only five meetings between these sides England, have scored 31 goals whilst San Marino have only managed one! In this qualification campaign San Marino have conceded 19 goals and scored none.

Now we’ve got the job of finding a bet to be getting involved with. Whilst we know England will win I don’t think it will be by six or seven. I could be crazy but I’m backing San Marino +5.25 on the Asian Handicap betting markets at 1.88. England will win comfortably but at 1.88, I am happy to give San Marino the head start on the Asian handicap market.

Asian Handicap Betting recommendation: San Marino +5.25 at 1.88

Score prediction – England 4-0
