PISTONS V SPURS

The Spurs will travel to Detroit, flexing a four-game winning streak to their upcoming Tuesday match rivals the Pistons at the Little Caesars Arena.

San Antonio beat the LA Clippers 122-111 at the latter part of the previous month at Staples Center, where LaMarcus Aldridge scored 38 points, complemented by 25 points, 13 rebounds and six assists from DeMar DeRozan.

The Spurs also defeated the Boston Celtics 111-120 last Tuesday, where Aldridge scored 32 points. San Antonio made 46 points in the third quarter that night, securing a victory against the Celtics, where DeRozan made 13 points and 10 assists.

San Antonio also stunned the Toronto Raptors last Friday at AT&T Center, where DeMar DeRozan spoiled Kawhi Leonard’s return to the Raptors with a triple-double. DeRozan made 21 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists that night.

Memphis Grizzlies also had a taste of the Spurs strength last Sunday at the AT&T where Derrick White dominated with 19 points, complementing Aldridge’s 18 as San Antonio scored a 108-88 win.

On the other hand, Detroit are declining in form. Blake Griffin made 34 points last Sunday at the Little Caesars Arena, while Utah’s Donovan Mitchell only made 26, but this did not stop the Pistons from losing the match 105-110 against the Jazz.

The Pistons won 101-94 over the Grizzlies where Griffin made 26 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists last Thursday at the FedExForum. Prior to that, however, they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 121-98 and Orlando Magic 109-107, as well as to the Indiana Pacers 125-88.

The Spurs won four of their last five games, while the Pistons lost four of their last five matches. With Detroit’s Griffin left to face the likes of DeRozan and Aldridge on Tuesday, the Pistons will surely have another hard time with San Antonio at Little Caesars. Tipsters suggest a line of -3.5 for the Spurs, while Detroit are Over/Under 213.5.

CELTICS V NETS

The Nets are on the way to Boston on Tuesday as they will be facing the Celtics at TD Garden.

Last Saturday, Boston made a 114-93 victory over Dallas Mavericks at TD Garden, where Gordon Hayward made 16 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, complemented by 21 points from Jaylen Brown, 18 from Jayson Tatum, and ten from Al Horford. It was the Celtics second consecutive win despite the eye injury from premier guard Kyrie Irving.

Boston’s first win of the year was a 102-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at home where Hayward dominated with 35 points while the Wolves’ Wiggins is slightly deficient at 31 points. Terry Rozier also made 16 points in that Thursday night.

The Celtics are unfortunate at the start of the year as they lost 111-120 to San Antonio last first January at AT&T Center. Although LaMarcus Aldridge was slightly dominant at 32 points to Jaylen Brown’s 30, this did not stop the Spurs from defeating Boston at home. Aldridge was complemented by Derrick White’s career-high 22 points for San Antonio that Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, the Nets will be flexing their three-game winning streak at TD Garden. Brooklyn’s latest win was a 117-100 over Chicago Bulls at United Center, where D’Angelo Russell made 28 points and DeMarre Carroll had 20 points off the bench. Jarrett Allen also scored 19 points and six rebounds for Brooklyn.

Brooklyn also emerged as victors last Saturday from the FedExForum as they scored a 109-100 win over the Grizzlies. Memphis’ Mike conley made 31 points, while the Nets’ Russell only made 23, but Carroll added 20 points to top the Grizzlies’ top scorer that night. Additionally, Carroll made excellent performance in that match after shooting five 3-pointers to the ring.

Anthony Davis made 34 points for the Pelicans in their game with Brooklyn, but New Orleans still fell 121-126 to the Nets at Barclays Center, where Russell was scored quite lower than Davis at 22 points.

There is no doubt that Brooklyn are displaying relatively good form so far compared to Boston, but the Celtics have incredible strength at home as at 13-5, while the Nets are 10-10 at away games. Boston are given a line of -9.5 to Brooklyn’s Over/Under 218.5.

ROCKETS V NUGGETS

The Nuggets will be visiting Houston on Tuesday to face the Rockets at Toyota Center, hoping to preserve and hopefully extend a good form.

While Denver stands at the topmost spot of the Western Conference, the Rockets are given a line of -1 to Over/Under 215.

The Nuggets’ last win was a 123-110 domination over Charlotte Hornets at Pepsi Center last Sunday. Nikola Jokic generated 39 points and 12 rebounds in that game, a career-high for the Serbian center. Paul Millsap added 18 points to secure Denver’s inevitable domination over Charlotte.

Denver also made a 117-113 victory over the Sacramento Kings last Friday at Golden 1 Center, where Jamal Murray made an excellent 36 points.

Prior to that, Denver also win 115-108 against the New York Knicks at Pepsi Center. Jokic showed off a triple-double that match, making 19 points, 14 rebounds and 15 assists.

The Phoenix Suns also fell to the Nuggets in the latter part of the previous month, tasting a 46-point domination from Jamal Murray, scoring 3-pointers nine times throughout that game at Talking Stick Resort.

A 102-99 victory over San Antonio started the five-match winning streak for Denver at Pepsi, where Murray topped  LaMarcus Aldridge’s 24 points with 31. The match was a retaliation from a 111-103 defeat to the Spurs at At&T Center.

This five-game winning streak is threatened as the Nuggets will be facing the Rockets on Tuesday.

While Houston lost 101-110 to the Trail Blazers last Sunday, where James Harden was 2 points deficient to add another 40-point game, the Rockets are bragging a six-time winning run with victories over the likes of Golden State and Oklahoma City.

Prior to their loss to Portland, they dominated over the Warriors last Friday at the Oracle Arena, where Harden hit a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds left in overtime. Harden made 44 points in that match to top Stephen Curry’s own 35 points.

Houston also made a 113-109 victory in their game with Oklahoma City Thunder last Boxing Day at Toyota Center where Harden generated 41 points to dominate Paul George’s 28.

The Rockets will be enjoying a home court advantage at Houston on Tuesday with James Harden averaging 33.7 points per game. This information is enough for Denver to realize that their match at Toyota Center will either be a hard win or an easy loss.
