International Champions Cup Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 25th July

Barcelona v Man Utd – Levi’s Stadium, California at 21:00

Barcelona are playing in their first International Champions Trophy this year and started their campaign with a 2-1 win over LA Galaxy which saw Luis Suarez face Steven Gerrard. Suarez opened the scoring against the MLS side and will be hoping to inflict more damage on former rivals Man Utd tomorrow evening.

It will be the first time in 3 years the two European super powers have met and should be a tougher test for Utd after two easy wins. The Red Devils started the competition with a 1-0 win over Club America before a 3-1 defeat of San Jose Earthquakes in which saw new signing Memphis Depay find the back of the net.

The reigning ICC champions have been very busy in the transfer market so far with the likes of Depay, Darmian, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin all joining the club since their 4th place finish in the Premier League last season,

Manager Louis Van Gaal will be pleased with the way his side have started pre-season as they look to mount a serious challenge on the league this season and return to Europe’s elite competition, the Champions League.

The last time the two met was in a friendly which ended in a goalless draw. The American fans will want to be entertained and I think there will be goals in this one. The 1.7 on offer for Over 2.5 goals doesn’t appeal however.

Barcelona are favourites at 2.3 but much will depend on the team selection from the managers. Both can make up to 10 changes throughout the game and its expected LVG and Luis Enrique will make most of those at half time.

Utd are priced at 3.4 and can be backed on the Asian Handicap Betting market at 1.9 +0.25 which is my recommendation.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation:

PSG v Cheslea – Bank of America Stadium, North Carolina at 23:05 live on Sky Sports 1

Chelsea face PSG in the International Champions Cup tomorrow night and will be looking to bounce back from their defeat in their opening match of the tournament. PSG have started their pre-season with 3 wins from 3 outings, 2 coming in the ICC and will look to continue their good form against the team they knocked out of last seasons Champions League.

Chelsea’s 4-2 defeat at the hands of a fairly weak New York Red Bulls side on Wednesday would have shocked a few people, as Asmir Begovic shipped 4 goals in a nightmare debut.

I’m sure Jose Mourinho won’t be too concerned however as these games are used to sharpen up players and to help with the cohesion of the squad before the start of the domestic season. That being said, Mourinho doesn’t like to lose and especially to a team that dumped them out of the UCL in extra time at the Bridge last season so I expect a strong Chelsea starting XI.

PSG have been impressive in the pre-season so far, scoring 10 goals in their 3 matches including a 3-2 win over Portuguese champions Benfica and a 4-2 win over Fiorentina in this competition.

In their 3 matches they were favourties and covered their Asian Handicap Betting line on two occasions. They face Chelsea as underdogs however and are 3.5 to win the match and are priced up at 1.85 +0.25, which I think is a decent bet.

There have been plenty of goals in this competition so far and in both sides matches, every one having 3 or more goals. The 1.85 on offer for Over 2.5 stands out as a good bit of value and will be my recommendation for this one.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.85
