West Ham v Arsenal Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 3rd December by @tashason21

West Ham v Arsenal – London Stadium at 17:30 live on BT Sport 1

My last Premier League Asian Handicap preview landed a nice profit as Arsenal covered their -1.25 line at even money against Bournemouth.

On Saturday, I will be backing The Gunners again in the London derby against West Ham.

West Ham

West Ham are currently 16th in the Premier League table and look far from the side of last season.

The Hammers have failed to win their last 4 league games and their poor form continued mid-week in the EFL Cup, as they were thrashed 4-1 by Manchester United.

Their last Premier League victory was a 1-0 win over Sunderland at the end of October and defeat to Arsenal on Saturday would see them move dangerously close to the relegation zone.

West Ham are still struggling to settle into their new ground and have only won twice in the league at their new home so far this season.

However, they’ve scored in all but 1 of their home games this campaign (bar a 3-0 defeat to Southampton) and they’re currently unbeaten in 3 league games at the London Stadium.

The home side have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 4 league games and I’m expecting Arsenal to get plenty of opportunities in front of goal.

Arsenal

The Gunners’ away form has been impressive this campaign. Wenger’s side have won 67% of their league matches away from the Emirates and are yet to lose a single Premier League game on their travels.

Arsenal have scored in 83% of their away games, although they do need to tighten up their defence!

The away side have conceded in their last 7 matches across all competitions, including mid-week against Southampton, when they suffered a shock exit from the EFL Cup after a 2-0 home defeat.

This loss against The Saints put an end to a run of 19 games unbeaten across all competitions.

Last weekend’s comfortable 3-1 home win over Bournemouth in the Premier League enabled them to stay within 3 points of league leaders Chelsea.

Sanchez has scored 8 league goals so far this season, including a brace against The Cherries.

Asian Handicap and Total Goals

Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in 8 of the last 9 Premier League meetings between West Ham and Arsenal.

However, with the Asian line set at over 2.75 goals for the best price of 1.87, I think there is greater value to be had elsewhere.

Backing Arsenal on the Asian Handicap market looks a better shout and although they lost in the EFL Cup, they did field a weakened starting 11.

The Gunners will be coming into this game the fresher of the 2 sides, having rested several key players mid-week and therefore already hold an advantage.

This coupled with West Ham’s defensive frailty and Arsenal’s strength in attack makes the away side value -0.75 on the Asian Handicap market.

Asian Handicap Recommendation: Arsenal -0.75 at 1.97
