SJK v KuPS – Troubles finally over at SJK? – Tuesday at 16:30
The young club (2007) SJK won their first match in a month in the last round, when VPS was defeated 3-1 in Vaasa. SJK had been on a poor run prior to that and many expected them to have a tough game against VPS. However, SJK played like they’re supposed to, never letting VPS really threaten them.
KuPS played a frustrating 1-1 draw home against KTP. Rajamäki’s side had the better chances and possession, but couldn’t make it visible on the scoresheet. In other words, efficiency is still eating KuPS.
SJK defender Cedric Gogoua was sent off against VPS and won’t play against KuPS. Both Miikka Ilo and Dani Hatakka filled their yellow card limit against KTP and will also be suspended in this game. No recent injuries for either team.
SJK played a solid game in Vaasa, not even Gogoua’s second yellow card could cause any trouble. Riski beat his bad luck in front of the goal by scoring twice. Valakari’s side is back for real, meanwhile KuPS’ season is more or less over. Draws and irregular wins mixed with some embarrassing losses have ensured a stable spot in the mid table. SJK are aiming for silver and have a good chance to win this.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: SJK -0.75 @ 1.83
VPS v FC Lahti – A game of honour? – Tuesday at 16:30
After a bitter loss to rivals SJK, VPS are losing the grasp of salvation. Even if the boys in black and white still have all the bottom teams in the upcoming schedule, they really are in need of a miraculous autumn. The aura over Vuorinen’s camp shines of preparation for a relegation. Losing is just something they are used to for a long time.
FC Lahti are keeping up their hopes of a European spot, and beating IFK Mariehamn 2-0 gave them a great boost. While SJK and RoPS might be too far away, a 4th spot in the league will give Korkeakunnas’ squad a renewed place in the Europa League qualifications, if HJK manages to win the national cup.
VPS-captain Ville Koskimaa received his 4th yellow this season and will be suspended against Lahti. Mikko Viitikko and Denis Abdulahi will be missing due to injuries. Lahti’s Pekka Lagerblom is still questionable for the starting line-up.
Although a sweet win at Aaland, FC Lahti’s scoring problems cannot be overlooked. IFK M played very poorly and honestly seemed to give a friendly donation in form of three points to Lahti. Losing Koskimaa will shake the home team’s defense, but not enough to invite Lahti to a scoring party.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Under 2.25 @ 1.79
