Inter v RoPS – Injury worries in both teams – Saturday 14:00
Inter Turku’s season has been like a rollercoaster. Job Dragtsma has probably been disturbed the most by injuries, and considering they sold both their star players, this season has been remarkably good.
Midfielder Vincent Onovo joined Jukka Lehtovaara’s and Oskari Qvick’s company in the long-term injuries gang. Striker Serge N’Gal is still questionable. Youngster Kaan Kairinen represented the Finnish U18-team on Tuesday, and might not start against RoPS.
RoPS may be in the 2nd spot, but are facing a huge goalscoring trouble as league leading striker Aleksandr Kokko got injured. 2nd-choice striker Simo Roiha got hurt as well, so RoPS are searching for a striker for the rest of the season.
RoPS have barely been scoring lately, keeping their place in the table thanks to their solid defense. Inter seem to wait anxiously for the cup final, which has resulted in surreal instability in league games.

Ilves v HJK – Are HJK obsessed with European games? – Sunday 16:30
League newcomers Ilves have surprised everyone by topping the form table, which they simply aren’t supposed to. Thanks to their superb form in past two months, Keith Armstrong’s side have said adieu to the bottom table.
It’s more or less clear that HJK are marching, or casually strolling to another championship. Finland’s most successful team hasn’t exactly impressed at any point of the season, a lot due to poor signings from abroad. Crystal Palace legend, now the CEO of HJK, Aki Riihilahti has been criticized for this season’s choices.
After a bitter last minute loss in Astana (who made it all the way to the Champions League), HJK got a chance to renew their spot in Europa League group stage. The lottery wasn’t exactly favorable, as they faced FC Krasnodar from Russia. The first leg in Russia ended in a 4-1 loss. Despite the hopeless situation, Mika Lehkosuo is going all-in to the second leg.
Too much focus on a desperate try to reach European games gives Ilves an extra boost in addition to their strong form at home. Last clash in Tammela ended 1-1.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Ilves +0.75 @ 1.82
SJK v IFK M – What’s on your mind, Pekka Lyyski? – Sunday 16:30
IFK Mariehamn from the Aaland isles have been one of the strongest sides for many years, but failed to grab a medal. Long-time coach Pekka Lyyski carried his side all the way from the 3rd highest tier to the league, but has now for years looked helpless.
A medal has gone out of grasp even this season, as SJK and RoPS battle against each other for silver. After a weak period in July and August, SJK have finally brushed their shoulders off. Valakari’s boys are now favorites for silver, as they start to get everything right, while RoPS are struggling mostly with goal scoring.
Haugesund-loanee Roope Riski found the net once again against KuPS, starting to show why he is one of the league’s best strikers. IFK M doesn’t have much in their favour here.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: SJK -0.5 @ 1.94
