Vasco da Gama v Madureira Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 9th April by @LewisJones1992

Vasco da Gama v Madureira – Estadio Sao Januario at 22:30

During the week we headed over to Colombia as we backed under 2.25 goals in the Santa Fe vs Corinthians game, after a hard fought close encounter the game finished up in a 1-1 draw giving us a half win to add to our current excellent run of form.

On Saturday we’ll be heading over to Rio as we take a look at the game between Vasco da Gama and Madureira. The hosts will look to press home their current chances of securing a play off spot as they currently sit in 2nd place in the second round of the Carioca Championship.

Madureira are currently rooted to the bottom of the table having picked up just one point from their five games in the second round which came in a 2-2 draw at home to fellow strugglers Bangu.

Vasco should dominate this game from start to finish. In their last game against Volta, they managed 65% possession, however, it was an off day for Vasco who really should have come away with the three points, so they’ll be keen to make up for that against Madureira. Nene missed multiple chances during the game, although he still managed to get a goal, he should really have had a couple more and will hope to add to his tally this weekend.

Madureira were torn to shreds by Fluminense last Saturday. Flu dominated the game from start to finish and we’re excellent value for their 3-1 win. The pace and width of the Fluminense forward three caused endless problems for the Madureira back line.

I’m expecting Vasco to start with a 4-3-3 formation, with one holding midfielder, allowing them to attack with five players as they look for the early goal that will allow them to relax and play their usual game. I’m expecting Vasco to comfortably win this game against the part timers.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Vasco -1.75 at 2.03
