Wolfsburg v Everton – Betting Preview

Volkswagen Arena – Thursday 27th November at 18:00

Roberto Martinez takes his Everton side to Wolfsburg this evening with the chance to wrap up top spot in Group H with 1 game to spare. However, they face a tough task against the Germans who sit just a single point behind the Toffees and will be keen to secure safe passage into the knockout stages tonight, in front of their own fans.

Everton are undefeated so far in this seasons Europa League, winning both home games comfortably and drawing both away games. But, on paper this is their toughest task of the campaign and although a win would be ideal, a draw in Wolfsburg would still be a good result. Their final game of the group is at home against Krasnodar, who they’d be confident of beating to secure top spot, if they had to.

Wolfsburg have been the second best side in this seasons Bundesliga and are undefeated at home, having won 6 and drawn 2 in all competitions. Unfortunately, for Die Wolfe despite the impressive results they have been conceding plenty of goals in the Europa League. So far from just 4 games, they’ve let in 8 goals and Everton scored 4 of those in the reverse fixture at Goodison Park.

Both sides will surely qualify for the knockout rounds of the tournament and with the attacking quality on display we should see a high scoring and entertaining match tonight.

But with the German side priced up at around 1.75, the value looks to be on the Merseyside team tonight despite the tough away trip. The advised trade is to back Everton +0.75 at 2.02.
