Allianz Arena – 5th November at 7.45pm.

After a relatively low key start to their Champs League campaign, with two unspectacular 1-0 victories, the German champions Bayern Munich signalled their intent to the world with an amazing 7-1 destruction of Roma in Italy two weeks ago.

That win virtually guaranteed Pep Guardiola’s team a place in the knockout round of the competition and tonight they can all but tie up top spot in the group by beating Roma again, this time at the Allienz Arena in Munich.

Despite the humiliating defeat in front of their own fans last time out, Roma still have a solid chance of qualifying from the group, due in part to Manchester City’s ongoing struggles in Europe’s premier tournament.

No doubt Roma will be desperate to put on a performance in Germany and restore some pride to their club but ultimately, Bayern should prove to be too strong in the end. The record breaking Bavarians are undefeated so far this season but Roma have had an excellent start to their campaign as well, as shown in the stats below –

However, the average goals per game stats for both teams (shown below), highlights the gulf in class between these two sides.

Even though the 7-1 win came away from home last time, it would still be a bit of a shock if Bayern were to rack up another huge score tonight. However, they should still win comfortably so the advised trade for this match, is to back Bayern Munich -2 at 2.10.
