West Brom v Burnley Asian Handicap Preview – Monday 21st November by @SC457

West Brom v Burnley – The Hawthorns at 20:00 live on Sky Sports 1

One for the purists! Monday night Premier League action comes from the Hawthorns this evening as West Brom host Burnley. Although this is not a match many will get excited about, including myself, there is still some value to be had on the Asian Handicap market.

West Brom

Tony Pulis’ side are in a very healthy position, currently 12th in the table after 11 games.

Prior to the international break, WBA ended a 5 match winless run with a victory over champions Leicester at the King Power stadium. Matt Phillips scored the deciding goal, leading the Baggies to a 2-1 win and earned himself the man of the match award after an excellent performance.

Their winless run included games against, Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham, so to be sitting mid-table is a real achievement. That being said, they are just 3 points above the bottom 3.

There are some dangerous teams below them, including West Ham, Leicester, Stoke and Palace, all of whom finished above them last season. So, with a run of games against Burnley, Watford and Hull, all of which they will believe they can win, they need to keep pressure on the teams around them.

They are likely to be without Nacer Chadli for tonight’s match which is a blow, but Berahino is likely to start on the bench. Salomon Rondon is now fit and should start.

Clarets fans will be very happy with the way their team has started the season. They currently sit in 11th position, one place and a point above tonight’s opposition. A win tonight would see them climb to 9th place and just 2 points off Man Utd in 6th.

Their excellent start has been down to their home form, earning 93% of their current tally at Turf Moor. In fact, only league leaders Chelsea have a better record at home. That stat is a little misleading, bearing in mind Burnley have played an extra match due to the redevelopment of Anfield, but it’s still an impressive record.

Away from home they have managed just one point from 4 matches, a 0-0 draw with Man Utd in their last road match. United registered 37 shots but were unable to find the back of the net, largely down to a superb performance from Tom Heaton. They have faced some tough opposition on the road though, including Chelsea, Leicester and Southampton so can be forgiven for their recent away record.

They are unbeaten in their last 3 EPL matches, earning 7 points and will be confident of getting something from tonight’s match.

Азиатский гандикап

West Brom come into the match at 1.95 favourties, which I think is too short. The Baggies have won just once in their last 9 at the Hawthorns and 62% of their points total has been earned away from home.

Despite Burnley’s poor away record, they are the form team and offer some value on the Asian Handicap market with a +0.5 goal advantage at 1.99.

Азиатский гандикап Recommendation: Burnley +0.5 at 1.99
