West Brom v Arsenal – The Hawthorns at 12:30 live on Sky Sports 1
My latest Азиатский гандикап preview focuses on Saturday’s early kick-off between West Brom and Arsenal.
Wenger is under pressure after losing 3 of his last 4 Premier League games, which raises further questions about his future at the club..
West Brom on the other hand are having a great season under Tony Pulis.
The home side are looking to bounce back from 2 recent Premier League defeats.
Losses against Crystal Palace (2-0) and Everton (3-0) have put a halt to their good run of form and they’ve failed to score in their last 2 games.
Despite these poor results, West Brom are having a fantastic season and they’re currently 8th in the Premier League table.
Their best ever finish in this league was in that position back in 2012/13 and they look poised to match it this time round.
The Baggies have the 8th best home record in the Premier League, winning 6, drawing 7 and losing just 1 of their league games so far this season.
They’ve won 7 of their previous 9 Premier League home matches and if their home form is anything to go by, Arsenal are in for a difficult game.
The pressure is growing on Wenger! His side have lost 5 of their last 8 games across all competitions and he’s come under fire in recent weeks.
The Gunners are out of the Champions League at the Round of 16 stage for the 7th successive season and they were out of the Premier League title race some time before that.
Arsenal’s only hope of silverware this campaign is now in the FA Cup, where they are through to the semi-finals after beating Lincoln City 5-0.
They take on Manchester City in the semis at the end of April.
The Gunners are by no means guaranteed a top 4 spot either, as they’re currently 5th in the Premier League table on 50 points, 5 points behind Liverpool in 4th. They do have 2 games in hand however.
Away from the Emirates, Arsenal have struggled in recent months and they’ve won just 1 of their last 6 Premier League games on their travels.
There is hope that Alexis Sanchez will get on the scoresheet however, as 11 of his 17 league goals this season have come away from home.
The visitors have scored in each of their last 12 Premier League away games and so it’s also likely they’ll get on the scoresheet.
Asian Handicap Prices
In the reverse fixture back in December, West Brom frustrated Arsenal, although they were eventually undone by a late goal scored by Olivier Giroud.
In light of their impressive home form, I am expecting West Brom to get at least a draw against this inconsistent Arsenal side and therefore I recommend backing The Baggies +0.75 on the Asian Handicap market at evens.
Азиатский гандикап Recommendation: West Brom +0.75 at 2.00
