Watford v Everton – Vicarage Road at 12:30 live on Sky Sports 1
Watford host Everton in Saturday’s early televised Premier League clash.
The last time these sides met at Vicarage Road, the game finished 1-1 and I’m expecting another low scoring match.
However, with the top price for under 2.5 goals looking a bit short at 1.79, backing Watford +0.25 on the Азиатский гандикап market looks better value.
Watford are 11th in the Premier League table on 18 points, although their form has dipped of late.
The home side will be looking to bounce back from 2 league defeats on the spin against Stoke (1-0) and West Brom (3-1).
A winning result would mean they’ll go above their opponents in the league table.
Prior to their home defeat against Stoke, Watford had gone 4 matches unbeaten on home soil, which also included a notable 3-1 win over Manchester United!
The Hornets’ have scored in every home match in the Premier League this season, except in their last game against Stoke.
However, they have also conceded at least one goal in 86% of their home matches. This suggests that Everton will also have their chances, but the question is, will they be able to take them?
Disappointingly for the home side, creative midfielder Roberto Pereyra will miss the match through suspension, as a result of the red card he received last week against West Brom.
Etienne Capoue is Watford’s top scorer, having found the net 5 times so far this campaign. Considering he failed to score a single goal all of last season, this is somewhat surprising!
56% of Watford’s points have been earned at home this campaign and they look value at 3.15 to get the home win.
Everton are 8th in the Premier League table on 20 points and they are also struggling for form.
The Toffees had a fantastic start to their 2016/17 campaign under new manager Ronald Koeman, although they’re currently winless in 4 Premier League games.
Last weekend Everton drew 1-1 at home to Man United, but only managed to equalise as a result of being awarded a late penalty.
Their form on the road is particularly worrying and only 35% of their points have come on their travels. Everton have failed to win any of their last 5 away matches, losing 4 and scoring just 2 goals in the process.
11 of the 16 league goals they have conceded this season have also been let in on the road.
In other news, the away side were dealt another blow mid-week, as it was announced that Yannick Bolasie is likely to miss the remainder of the season with ligament damage.
Lukaku scored 18 goals for Everton last campaign, although he is yet to hit firing form. The Belgian has not scored in his last 4 Premier League matches.
Asian Handicap Prices
Apart from Chelsea and Arsenal, Stoke are the only side that have beaten Watford at home this season.
Last weekend’s game against The Potters was a poor performance by their standards and I’m expecting The Hornets to bounce back as a result.
Taking into account Watford’s solid home record and Everton’s poor form away from Goodison Park, Watford +0.25 on the Asian Handicap market looks value at 1.85.
Despite Pereyra’s absence, The Hornets should have enough in the tank to beat Everton, especially with the return of Nigerian striker Issac Success.
Азиатский гандикап Recommendation: Watford +0.25 at 1.85
