Tottenham Hotspur V Man Utd – Betting Preview

White Hart Lane – Sunday 28th December at 12:00 Live on BT Sport 1

Sunday’s lunchtime kick off see’s Man Utd travel down to North London to take on a Spurs side that despite starting slowly to the season, now sit in 7th just 2 points from 4th spot. Utd have been on top form, winning 7 from their last 8 and haven’t lost since their defeat to Leicester way back in September. This should be a great start to a Sunday packed full of high quality football.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are improving all the time, questions had been asked earlier in the season if he was the right man for the job after some below par performances and lack of creativity going forward. Those questions have been answered in the best possible way with Spurs winning their last 3 league games and are playing more as a team than they have done in a long while. It is their young stars that have inspired the team with Harry Kane scoring in each of their last 3 wins, Chadli, Eriksen and Lamela all putting in strong performances as well as assisting and scoring themselves. Tottenham still have some defensive frailties, conceding at least one in their last 11 games, they have had a number of injuries at the back and have been forced to rotate regularly. Against a strong Man Utd attack, they will really need to tighten up.

Utd’s shaky start to the season, winning only once in their first 5, is long forgotten. They sit 3rd in the table 3 points above 4th but 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea. LVG stated that it is Man Utd’s target to win the league, this seems a little unrealistic, but it shows the confidence the 20 times league champions have. Their excellent team performances and attacking prowess has seen them undefeated in 13, scoring at least once in each of their last 15 games. Against Newcastle on Boxing Day, we saw just how clinical Utd can be going forward, Rooney was at his best, with Falcao, Mata and van Persie all combining so effortlessly. Man Utd, similar to Spurs, do have a shaky defense which has been hit by a lot of injuries which can leave them vulnerable.

With both teams attacking qualities and defensive problems, this could be a very open, high scoring game. For a bit of value on the Over/Under market, Over 3.5 goals at 2.8 looks good to me but my recommendation is going to be to back Spurs on the Asian Handicap. Tottenham +0.25 @ 1.95. For the biggest stakes at competitive prices, join Eastbridge сегодня.
