Etihad – Saturday 6го December at 17:30
Man City are now starting to look back to their best having beaten Southampton comfortably last weekend and beating Sunderland with ease 4-1 in midweek. The turning point was the 3-2 victory over Bayern Munich which kept their hopes alive for last 16 qualification in the Champions League and has spurred them on domestically. Although not a one man team, their improvement coincides with the on fire Sergio Aguero who is scoring for fun with 7 in his last 5 games in all competitions. He’s now scored more league goals than Sunderland, Burnley and Aston Villa.
Everton have an in-form striker of their own in Romelu Lukaku who now has scored 6 this season but it’s their defence that has been letting them down. The Toffee’s have the fifth worse defence in the league conceding 22 goals already this season, compared to last season when they had the third best defence in the league. Martinez has only one victory in his last 5 league games which has seen them slip into the bottom half of the table.
With Man City conceding at least one in 83% of home games and Everton scoring in all 7 of their away fixtures, the Toffee’s will be confident of scoring. Man City who have scored 7 in their last 2 away games, and are stronger at home, should have no problems winning this comfortably even with conceding. We’re going with Man City -1 @ 1.78 as our advised trade.
