Goodison Park – Wednesday 3rd December at 19:45
There are some interesting matches in the Premier League tonight, unfortunately Everton against Hull is not one of them. Although, it is a big game for both sides as they look to find some form after recent defeats.
In fact in terms of form, Hull are seeking what would be just their 3rd Premier League win in 22 games stretching back into the tail end of last season. Perhaps, the new owner should have renamed his team the Hull City Pussy Cats instead of Hull City Tigers, because they have a habit of rolling over.
Everton have had a tough start to their 2nd season under Roberto Martinez, but a run of 6 games without defeat, including an impressive win away at Wolfsburg in the Europa League got them moving in the right direction again. But last week that good run was stopped dead in its tracks, by a 2-1 defeat against Spurs at White Hart Lane.
The Toffees should feel much more comfortable back a Goodison Park tonight and will be confident of taking all three points against Hull, who they have beaten four times in six Premier League meetings so far. Everton have no new injury concerns coming into the match and Hull are still without Abel Hernandez, so ex-Everton centre forward Nikica Jelavic should face his old club as the lone striker tonight.
Everton look likely to regain their winning form here as Hull have been particularly poor away from home this season. The advised trade is to back Everton -1 at 1.95 as a 2 goal victory is well within their capabilities.
