Etihad Stadium – Saturday 20го December at 12:45 live on BT Sport
Saturday’s lunchtime kick off see’s Crystal Palace travel to Manchester to take on an in form City. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have won their last 5 league games and are undefeated in 7. Palace’s recent form is not so impressive, having only won once in their last 10.
The Citizens have only managed 2 goals in their last 2 matches, winning 1-0 on each occasion, and may be forced to start without a striker with Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic are all out. However, City have players that are more than capable from scoring anywhere on the pitch. This will be City’s 26го game already this season after a very hectic schedule, but can now focus on the Premiership with no Champions League fixture until Mid-February. With a decent run of games over Christmas and New Year, I wouldn’t put it past City to be top come end of play 1st January 2015.
Palace have found it hard to come by goals recently, only managing to score twice in their last four. The Eagles have only managed to record one away victory this season and with 3 of their 4 matches away from home, they could be entering the New Year in the relegation places.
Despite their lack of fire power up front and only managing 2 goals in their last 2 league games, I can’t go with anything but a City win here. Their home form was incredible last year and they know they can’t afford to drop any more points at the Etihad if they are to keep up or over take Chelsea. Man City -1.5 @ 1.95 is my recommended trade.
