FC Rostov v Man United – Olimp-2 Stadium at 18:00 live on BT Sport 2
My latest Asian Handicap preview focuses on the Europa League tie between Rostov and Manchester United.
Although the visitors are in flying form, this is going to be a tough test for United, as Rostov have sprung a few surprises in Europe already this season.
Rostov’s home record in Europe has been impressive this campaign.
The home side have only lost once in their last 7 Champions League/Europa League games and that defeat was against Atletico Madrid (1-0).
In Europe, Rostov have beaten Ajax (4-1), Bayern Munich (3-2) and Sparta Prague (4-0) this season and have scored at least 3 goals in each of these games.
Across all competitions, Rostov have only suffered 1 home defeat this season and they’re currently 5th in the Russian Premier League.
Last weekend, Rostov thrashed Tom’ Tomsk 6-0 with Bukharov and Azmoun each scoring a brace in the process.
United were somewhat lucky to lift the EFL Cup a few weeks ago, as they overcame an ambitious Southampton side 3-2 at Wembley.
With no top 4 place finish guaranteed in the league, this competition has become increasingly important in regards to a Champions League spot next season.
The Red Devils are currently 6th in the Premier League, 3 points behind Liverpool in 4th.
The visitors have come unstuck a few times away from Old Trafford in Europe this campaign however. United lost to both Feyenoord (1-0) and Fenerbahçe (2-1) earlier on in the season.
However, they have won their last 2 games on their travels against Zorya (2-0) and St Etienne (1-0) and kept 2 clean sheets in the process.
In addition, United have only lost 1 of their last 27 games across all competitions.
Zlatan has scored 26 goals so far this season, including 5 in the Europa League.
The UEFA Europa League remains the only major UEFA trophy that United have never won.
Asian Handicap Prices and Total Goals
This is the first time Rostov and Man United are meeting in a competitive fixture.
Rostov are an impressive home side and look value +0.75 on the Asian Handicap market at 1.90.
Goals have also been a common occurrence at the Olimp-2 Stadium in Europe this season and therefore I’d also recommend backing over 2.25 goals at 2.02 on the Asian Total Goals market.
Asian Handicap Recommendation: FC Rostov +0.75 at 1.90 and Over 2.25 goals at 2.02
