Real Sociedad v FC Barcelona – 15th September Saturday

The footballing action in the Spanish top flight will go live this Saturday after the season’s international break. Don’t miss Real Sociedad’s face-off against FC Barcelona on September 15 at the Anoeta Stadium.

Real Sociedad started the 2018 season in quite a disappointing fashion after being beaten by Leganes in a 1-0 loss. Barcelona, however, continued its La Liga duties with a 3-0 win against Levante at Camp Nou. Furthermore, the Barcas dominated Celta Vigo on a 6-1 victory in the Copa del Rey to progress in the quarter-finals. Surely, Barcelona will be taking this match in a confident mood. During the last eight games in this year’s season, Real Sociedad have accomplished just one win. However, Real Sociedad’s Willian Jose might just help the team secure a victory being the club’s top goal-scorer.

–          Inigo Martinez and Ruben Pardo are unavailable to play for Real Sociedad due to calf and ankle injury, respectively, while Alberto de La Bella and Geronimo Rulli are also doubtful.

–          Philippe Coutinho, Marc Cardona, and Francis Alcacer are unavailable for Barcelona according to manager Ernesto Valverde.

–          Barcelona is reportedly keen on signing Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal.

Marc Andre-Ter Stegen plays as a goalkeeper for Barcelona and the German national team. He is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world of football. Among his notable plays was during last season’s Champion’s League against PSG, helping the team pull-off one of the greatest competitions in football history.

Gerard Pique plays as a Defender/Centre-back for Barcelona. He recently retired from the Spanish national team to focus more on the club. During his time in the national team, he accumulated a total of 102 caps, a career-best that corresponds with the most successful period in La Roja history.
