Bournemouth v Liverpool

The Undefeated Liverpool will be coming to Vitality Stadium on Saturday as they take on AFC Bournemouth for their Premier League face-off. A win for the Reds will guarantee them to the summit of the Premier League, surpassing leaders Manchester City.

Bournemouth managed to put a stop to their series of downfalls in their form just recently when they managed to overpower the struggling Huddersfield in a 2-1 victory. However, even if they lost in their four previous matches, the Cherries are still looking to have a stellar season so far. They are currently sitting in the 7th position at the league table, just behind Everton on goal difference and even outdoing Manchester United.  Even though their recent setbacks showed a weakness to them, there’s no disagreeing how great they have been this season.

Despite having impressive performances this season, Eddie Howe’s side lost all 4 of their clashes with the Premier League Big Six so far this season so it might be impossible for them to come out victorious against the Liverpool side. The Reds, on the other hand, will be aiming to go to the top of the Premier League table by winning at Bournemouth. It won’t be easy considering Bournemouth’s recent form at the moment but it’s also not impossible considering Liverpool remain undefeated in the league.

Bournemouth and Liverpool have only met on a total of 6 encounters in the Premier League. Liverpool were able to come out successful in four of those meetings, including two victories on the South Coast. Bournemouth, in the meantime, have overpowered Liverpool just once since being promoted to the English top-flight, a 4-3 win at home during the 2016-17 campaign.

Arsenal v Huddersfield

Arsenal will be looking to extend their undefeated run to 21 matches under Unai Emery as they welcome Huddersfield Town at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners were able to prolong their unbeaten run when they picked up a point in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Their performances this season proved that Unai Emery has been really effective as Arsenal’s new boss. They certainly blossomed under their new boss and they will be looking forward to show another impressive display at Bournemouth.

Arsenal are currently unbeaten in 13 of their Premier League matches with the help of key players Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. They managed to help Arsenal secure 2 clean sheets in the league in this season and their last setback was way back in September.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield are in quite a difficult situation at the moment. Despite their brief resurgence last month, they are quite in trouble this season since they currently find themselves just slightly above the relegation zone. They know that a victory against the Gunners seems out of the question. Every point counts for the Terriers in order to stay in the league.

Huddersfield’s record against the Premier League Bix Six isn’t really a confidence booster for them either. Since their comeback in the English top flight last season, they managed to pick up just two points from their seven away fixtures against bigger teams in the division. This season, they were defeated in four of their home and away meetings with the Big Six. The Gunners may be struggling with their defensive strategies right now but they have more than enough power to claim a win on Saturday. However, Bournemouth won’t bow down without a fight since a loss could bring them out of the competition.

Manchester United v Fulham

Manchester United will be hosting Fulham, looking to end their run of three consecutive draws in the Premier League on Saturday. Manchester United have not yet won in the Premier League since their late victory against Bournemouth at the beginning of last month.

The Red Devils are sometimes abysmal in their defensive strategies and their draw at Old Trafford against the Gunners made it to 4 fixtures without a win in the Premier League. This resulted in United dropping down to 8th in the league standings, with them now sitting below Bournemouth and Everton on goal difference. They are currently 8 points behind the top 4 of the table and if they want to make a grade for the Champions League next season, they should manage a victory against Fulham on Saturday.

On the other hand, Fulham have been running in an awful form this season, conceding a massive 36 goals so far this season and they are yet to keep a clean sheet. Although Claudio Ranieri’s appointment has improved things a bit for the Cottagers, they still conceded five goals in the previous three games under him and they remain at the bottom of the league standings. The Cottagers secured only four points from a possible nine ever since Ranieri’s appointment, also drawing their last fixture at home against Leicester City.

Moreover, Fulham only managed to an away defeat against Manchester United two times in a total of 23 attempts. Fulham remain at the rock-bottom of the table and Manchester United are eight points off the Champions League places; both desperately need to secure a victory on Saturday’s match. Who among these two will come out successful?
