Premier League Asian Handicap Previews – Sunday 21st January

Southampton v Tottenham

Southampton has somehow found themselves in trouble this season. 17th place and just one point above the relegation zone is not how Saints fans would’ve envisaged their season.

Sadly, that is the reality though for a club who have not recruited well. The sale of Virgil Van Dijk to Liverpool will have already made fans question the side’s ambitions and we’ve yet to see that money reinvested in the squad – despite much need for it.

On Sunday they welcome Tottenham to the St Mary’s and former manager Mauricio Pochettino. How Saints fans wish they still had him in charge.

Spurs themselves are in danger of letting their season slip away. They currently sit three points off fourth spot but could be six points off by the time they play on Sunday.

In a season in which Spurs fans would’ve expected a title challenge, many will be disappointed. It’s a crucial time for the club in which they could face losing their star players in search of silverware if they fail to push on.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Spurs -1.00 at 2.230

Swansea City v Liverpool

Liverpool shocked and impressed the football world last weekend when they finally ended Manchester City’s unbeaten run. It was an incredible performance by Klopp’s men, who used high-intensity pressing to force Manchester City into errors. As impressive as their pressing was the clinical nature of Liverpool’s attacking talent.

Swansea will have seen that match and will fear what Monday’s match will bring. On Boxing Day, Liverpool dispatched Swansea 5-0 at Anfield and new boss Carlos Carvalhal will be worried of a repeat.

It’s hard to look past Liverpool for this match, with Klopp’s men looking to build their own unbeaten run and close the gap on second place Manchester United.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Liverpool -2.00 at 2.680
