Premier League Asian Handicap Previews – Saturday 17th March

Huddersfield v Crystal Palace

Things are starting to get serious in the Premier League right now. Every point dropped is costly and teams are fighting for every point possible to stay in the Premier League. Two of those teams are Crystal Palace and Huddersfield.

They meet on Saturday afternoon with it all up for grabs. A win could see Palace leapfrog Southampton and West Ham out of the relegation zone, while a win for Huddersfield would give them a bit more breathing room above the drop zone.

After a good run of form which saw them beat Southampton and Arsenal, and earn a draw against Manchester City, Roy Hodgson’s Palace have been in a dire form of late. They’ve not won a game since the 13th of January (1-0 at home v Burnley) and the former England manager will know they need to turn that around fast.

Huddersfield hasn’t done too bad of late. Despite losses to Manchester United and Spurs, the Terriers have earned three points against West Brom and Bournemouth and will fancy another three points at home v Palace.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Huddersfield -0.25 at 2.510

Stoke City v Everton

Despite appointing Sam Allardyce to turn fortunes around, Everton still finds itself in danger of a relegation fight. The Toffees are currently 9th, but a few bad results could see them plummet down the table, with just 10 points between them and Crystal Palace in 18th.

Stoke are in the relegation zone themselves but are just one point off Southampton in 17th. A home win here would be crucial in their fight against relegation, but the Potters are without a win in six games.

I wouldn’t put my money on this being one of the season’s most exciting games, but I would punt on Everton coming out on top, further worsening Stoke’s fight against relegation.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Everton -0.25 at 2.630

Liverpool v Watford

Liverpool’s top two aspirations took a dent last weekend when they lost to rivals Manchester United, but Jurgen Klopp won’t be too disheartened by what he saw from his Reds. They looked dangerous and tried to take the game to United, but, once again, defensive mistakes cost them.

Those mistakes may see Joe Gomez and Joel Matip return to the side in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dejan Lovren, whilst Gini Wijnaldum will most likely return in central-midfield to add a bit of creativity.

Liverpool now sits five points off second place, so Jurgen Klopp will want a win here to lessen that gap, although both Manchester United and Spurs will both have a game in hand.

Watford can be a tricky team to play against and have proven tough opposition for Liverpool in the past. Two wins from three have been an upturn in form for the Hornets, with manager Javi Gracia hoping to further solidify Watford’s place as a Premier League side for next season with a win here.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Liverpool -2.50 at 2.410
