Premier League Asian Handicap Previews – Saturday 16th September

Crystal Palace v Southampton

Neither sides have had a great start to the season, but Crystal Palace will be hoping new boss Roy Hodgson can have an immediate impact.

It took just four league games for Palace to sack Dutch manager Frank De Boer – a questionable decision to say the least – but it is a results business and the London side was not getting them.

Roy Hodgson will be hoping record signing Mamadou Sakho will be fit enough to make his first start for the club after joining permanently.

For Southampton, it’s all about getting goals. They’ve failed to score in nine of their last twelve Premier League games. Boss Mauricio Pellegrino may recall Virgil Van Dijk after a summer hiatus, but he’ll have to rely on other players for goals.

Roy Hodgson will get his side well-drilled straight away, though, and it wouldn’t be the first time a side has changed its fortunes around under a new boss.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Crystal Palace -0.50 at 3.020

Liverpool v Burnley

A 5-0 loss was followed up by a disappointing 2-2 draw against Sevilla for Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping this is a chance to bounce back to winning ways. He’ll be without star man Sadio Mane, who starts a 3-match suspension for a dangerous high-foot on Ederson, but another star player could replace him in Philipe Coutinho. After wanting out all summer, the Brazilian made his return against Sevilla on Wednesday and could come into the starting 11 to replace Mane.

There could also be a start for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, should Jurgen Klopp choose to rest Emre Can, who looked lackluster against the Spanish side.

For Burnley, they’ll be missing goalkeeper Tom Heaton, who will be ruled out for some time after picking up a shoulder injury. He should be replaced by Nick Pope.

It’ll be a tough game for Burnley, but boss Sean Dyche will know the damage his side can do to Liverpool after last season’s victory over the Reds. Sam Vokes has been in good-form so far this year and Dyche will be relying on the big Welshman to trouble Liverpool’s suspect central defenders.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Liverpool -1.75 at 2.020

Tottenham v Swansea

After the emphatic 3-1 win over German giants Borussia Dortmund, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to get his first league win at Wembley. Harry Kane is in deadly form, showing his killer instinct against the Germans.

Pochettino will have to do without Dele Alli, though, who serves a ban for his antics with England. Jan Vertonghen will be available, though, with his suspension only applying to continental games.

For Swansea, boss Paul Clement will be looking to see his side bounce back after a tough start to the season. He thrust new star man Renato Sanches into the starting eleven against Newcastle and, whilst he failed to impress, Clement will be hoping it’s only a matter of time before he does.

It’ll be a tough game for Swansea, though, who have failed to impress defensively this year. Expect some more goals from Harry Kane as Spurs run rampant.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Tottenham -2.0 at 2.219
