Man Utd v Aston Villa – Old Trafford at 15:00
It feels like a hell of a lot longer than 2 weeks since I wrote my last Asian Handicap Betting preview for the Premier League, these international breaks seem to be getting longer! I kick off with Utd hosting Villa in what should be a formality for Red Devils as they continue to make progress in securing a top 4 spot and a return to the Champions League.
Utd go in to this match having won their last 4 matches on the bounce, beating Liverpool at Anfield last time out in what was a huge result for LVG. They are now 4th, 5 points clear of Liverpool in 5th and 2 points from rivals Man City in 2nd. If they can keep up their recent record there is no reason why they can’t not only secure a UCL place but push for a top 2 finish.
After a run of 7 consecutive league defeats, Aston Villa won back to back matches before losing to Swansea 1-0 at Villa park last time out. Those 2 wins over Sunderland and WBA, in which they scored 6, lifted them out of the drop zone and now sit in 16th, 3 points clear of Burnely in 18th. They are far from safe and with a tough April, facing Utd, City and Tottenham, they will need to be at their best and a bit of luck to avoid slipping back down into the relegation zone.
I don’t see an upset here, Utd are just too good at Old Trafford, with the best home record in the league and an average of 2.2 goals per game they will have too much for Villa. Villa are scoring again but the 2.0 offered by Sports Betting Brokerage, Eastbridge for Man Utd -1.5 is impossible not to back.
Asian Handicap Recommendation: Man Utd -1.5 @ 2.0
