Premier League Asian Handicap Previews – Sunday 17th December

After Saturday’s Premier League matches, attention turns to two clashes on Sunday and a crucial game on Merseyside on Monday.

West Bromwich Albion v Manchester United

After an impressive defensive display on Wednesday at Anfield against Liverpool, Alan Pardew’s West Bromwich Albion welcome Manchester United to The Hawthorns.

The performance at Anfield would’ve pleased Alan Pardew. He set his side up to frustrate Liverpool’s potent attacking play, and they did just that. His players were disciplined and got the job done.

His side remains goalless under his management though and Pardew will be realistic in knowing that that may not change on Sunday. A draw at home against Manchester United is definitely a good score and I have no doubt that Pardew will look to frustrate his opponents again here.

If anyone can set up a side to break down a parked bus, it should be Jose Mourinho. The former Chelsea manager is the master of parking a bus to frustrate opposition teams and, as such, should know just how to break one down.

This clash could be fascinating tactically.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Manchester United -1.00 at 2.120

Bournemouth v Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp will have been frustrated at his side’s inability to break down an extremely defensive West Brom side on Wednesday side but will be aware that his side may face the same on Sunday.

Bournemouth has struggled this year and currently sit in 14th in the Premier League table. It’s not the season that Eddie Howe would’ve hoped for. A loss on Sunday could see them drop into the relegation zone should other results go against them on the weekend.

The focus will be on the Reds, though, who will have to do better here than in their last two matches. Two consecutive draws will have halted Klopp’s side’s momentum and they’ll be keen to find their rhythm once more here.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Liverpool -1.50 at 2.450

Everton v Swansea City

Another Wayne Rooney goal secured three points for Sam Allardyce in midweek, making it an unbeaten start to live on Merseyside for the former England manager.

That win saw the Toffees move up to 10th place in the Premier League table, with 10 points separating them from the bottom of the table Swansea, who travel to Goodison on Monday.

The pressure must surely be mounting on Swansea boss Paul Clement by now. Bottom of the league, a heavy 4-0 loss on Wednesday against Manchester City and a clueless looking team.

I can’t see it getting any better for Clement or the Swansea fans here, with Everton the favourites to secure 3 points.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Everton -1.25 at 2.870
