Raptors v Kings

The Sacramento Kings will be visiting the Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday to take on the Toronto Raptors for some NBA action. The Raptors are in a stellar form both at home and on the road. They are currently at the 2nd place in the eastern standings and will be aiming to prolong their winning streak when they face the Kings. Toronto will be coming into this game fresh off the back of a 119-90 beating of Memphis Grizzlies over the weekend and will be looking to maintain their edge in the race for the top spot in the Eastern Conference table.

The Sacramento Kings are having quite a nice performance lately, winning five of their previous eight games. They will be coming into this game looking forward to return from their setback following the embarrassing loss to the Brooklyn Nets in a 123-94 away defeat on Monday. Bogdan Bogdanovic steered the team with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 11 assists. Josh Jackson chipped in 14 points while De’Aaron Fox added 9 points as well as 6 assists. With their loss against the Grizzlies, the Sacramento Kings fell to 24 wins and 23 losses overall, and 10 success and 13 defeats on the road.

On the other hand, the Toronto Raptors have been having a stellar season lately. They are currently in an impressive form, winning seven of their previous eight games. On their match against the Kings, they will be looking to secure their third consecutive victory following their total domination of Memphis Grizzlies just recently. Kawhi Leonard was rested during the game but the Raptors had Danny Green leading the team with a season-high 24 points. Serge Ibaka added 18 points, while Pascal Siakam also contributed 17 points.

The Kings have been playing decently lately, but with the Raptors’ consistency so far this season, Sacramento may fall into the hands of Toronto on Wednesday.

Thunder v Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder will meet at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday for a heated NBA matchup. Despite a satisfactory start to the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder snapped and have been gathering consecutive victories lately. They will be aiming to keep their motion rolling when they welcome the Portland Trail Blazers. Both teams are on fire so far this season and both will try to best each other out for a victory on Wednesday.

Oklahoma City Thunder dropped five of their previous six games before they swept two away games against the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks. Paul George dominated the 127-109 victory against the Knicks by scoring a massive 31 points. Russell Westbrook also chipped in with 7 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. Despite losing four of their previous six games at home, they are placed at the 3rd spot in the Western Conference standings with 28 wins and 18 losses. They also have a record of having 20 victories and just 7 losses at home.

In the meantime, Portland Trail Blazers will be aiming to keep their momentum going after winning seven of their previous nine games. They will be entering Wednesday’s game against the Thunder placed at the fourth spot in the Western standings, just below their opponents with 29 wins and 19 losses. The Trail Blazers aren’t really that consistent on the road. They currently have a record of just 9 wins and 12 defeats in their away matchups. Despite, hovering just beneath Oklahoma in the standings, they will need to play all out in order to secure a win against the hosts.

Mavericks v Clippers

It’s a battle of the West on Wednesday as two Western Conference teams will be looking to rise above the standings. The Los Angeles Clippers will be making a trip to the American Airlines Center to take on the Dallas Mavericks in what is one of the most anticipated NBA actions. The Dallas Mavericks will be hoping to secure a win on Wednesday to end their four-match slide; however, it won’t be easy since both teams need to win in this matchup to regain their momentum.  

The Los Angeles could definitely use a mood booster after by beaten in seven of their previous 11 games. Fortunately for them, they were able to snap their five-game losing run by cruising past the San Antonio Spurs in a 103-95 win over the weekend. Tobias Harris steered the Clippers with at a record of 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. Although the Clippers are 5th in the league in terms of scoring offense, they are below average when it comes to their defensive ways, ranking just 24th in the defensive board. However, they obviously have the edge against their 13th placed opponents since they are placed at the 7th spot in the Western standings.

The Dallas Mavericks, on the other hand, are obviously experiencing some struggles lately. They will be coming into this game fresh off the back of two successive double-digit defeats against the Indiana Pacers (111-99) and the Milwaukee Bucks (116-106). Mavs’ super rookie Luka Doncic has emerged as the team’s main ball-handler and point guard. Aside from that, he went on to secure the possibility of becoming NBA Rookie of the Year when he amassed 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Bucks, becoming the second youngest player in NBA League history to ever record a triple-double. Dallas will definitely be relying on their super rookie in obtaining their victory.
