Raptors v Bucks
Two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference Toronto and Milwaukee are set to face at Scotiabank Arena this coming Friday.
The Bucks only have two losses to mind in their last ten games. Their latest defeat was a 118-112 fall to Oklahoma City last Monday at Chesapeake Energy Arena, where Paul George made 36 pints to beat the 27 from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks second latest loss was six games ago. Earlier this month, they got stunned by Washington 113-106 at Capital One Arena. Bradley Beal made 32 points to top the 25 from Khris Middleton.
Milwaukee’s latest win was a 115-105 victory over Detroit at Little Caesars Arena last Wednesday. Giannis made 21 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds to lead a Bucks win over the Pistons, while Detroit’s Reggie Jackson made 25 points.
Prior to their loss against Thunder, the Bucks are bragging a six game winning streak with wins over Atlanta Hawks 133-114, Miami Heat 124-86, Memphis Grizzlies 111-101, as well as Orlando Magic 118-108, Dallas Mavericks 116-106, and Charlotte Hornets 108-99.
Meanwhile, Toronto frustrated what could have been a three-game skid when they defeated Dallas 123-120 last Monday at American Airlines Center. Super rookie Luka Doncic made 35 points to beat the 33 points from Kawhi Leonard, but was not able to stop a Raptors win over the Mavericks.
Prior to that, Toronto lost to Houston 119-121 last Saturday at Toyota Center, where Leonard made 32 but got topped by Harden’s 35 points. The Raptors also lost to the Pacers last week at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, where Serge Ibaka equalized with Thaddeus Young at 23 points but was not able to frustrate a 106-110 Toronto loss to Indiana.
Toronto are second only to the topmost Milwaukee in the East, but the Raptors have a record of 21-4 at home while the Bucks are 14-9 at away games, which probably explains the tipsters’ line of Toronto -2.5 to Over/Under 229.5.
Clippers v Lakers
The two Los Angeles will meet at their common home on Friday at Staples Center, but LeBron James is ruled out of the game, still suffering from his injury in the groin.
The Lakers saw more frequent defeats in their games lately as King James was not seen much in the courts. Their latest loss was a 121-105 fall to Philadelphia last Wednesday at Staples, where Brandon Ingram made 36 points to beat the 28 from Joel Embiid but was not able to stop the 76ers win over LA.
Last Monday, the Lakers also win 116-102 against Phoenix at Staples. Ivica Zubac made 24 points to top the 21 from Devin Booker and lead a LA win over the Suns.
Prior to that, the Lakers also lost to Minnesota last week at Staples, where Karl-Anthony Towns scored 27 points to beat the 20 from Ingram and foster a 120-105 Timberwolves domination over Los Angeles.
The Lakers also were not able to equalize with the hottest teams in the league today such as the Golden State and Houston as they lost 130-111 to the Warriors and 138-134 against the Rockets.
The Clippers, on the other hand, are in good form with only two losses to be buggled about out of their last six matches. Their latest defeat was a 123-118 to Atlanta last Tuesday at Staples, where Tobias Harris made 30 points to top the 26 from Trae Young.
Before that defeat to the Hawks, Clippers are in a three-game winning streak with wins over Sacramento Kings 122-108, Chicago Bulls 106-101, and Miami Heat 111-99.
With LeBron still expected to be out of the game on Friday, the Lakers chances of dominating over the Clippers are notably reduced. Thus, the tipsters’ line of Clippers -5.5.
Warriors v 76ers
DeMarcus Cousins is set to debut at home in the Warriors upcoming match with the 76ers on Friday at Oracle Arena. The Golden State are unbelievable, enjoying an eleven-game winning streak since earlier in January.
The Warriors are thrashed Indiana last Tuesday at Bankers life Fieldhouse. Stephen Curry made 26 points, while Myles Turner made 16 points. The game ended in a 132-100 Golden State win over the Pacers.
Kevin Durant also scored 33 points to top the 32 points from Kyrie Irving in the Warriors’ 115-111 victory over the Boston Celtics last Sunday at TD Garden.
The Golden State also beat the teams Washington Wizards 126-118, Los Angeles Lakers 130-111, LA Clippers 112-94, as well as New Orleans 147-140 and Denver Nuggets 142-111 earlier in January.
The Warriors last defeat was eleven matches ago to Houston at Oracle Arena. Monstrous James Harden shot 44 points to dominate over the 35 points from Stephen Curry and lead a 135-134 Rockets win over the Golden State.
Meanwhile, Joel Embiid will be bracing himself and preparing to face Cousins for the first time, and the Sixers will be relying on him to lead Philadelphia in this Friday match with the top teams of the West.
Philadelphia dominated over the Lakers last Wednesday at Staples after Joel Embiid scored 28 points complemented by 20 from Jimmy Butler, beating the 36 from Brandon Ingram.
The Sixers are also hot when they defeated the Rockets last week at Wells Fargo Center. James Harden still made a monstrous number of 37 points, but he was not able to stop the 121-93 Philadelphia domination over Houston. Embiid is also excellent that night with 32 points shot.
Nonetheless, while Philadelphia are themselves performing great in the East, the Warriors are still the hottest team in the West. So, tipsters are giving a line of Golden state -9.5 to Over Under 240.5.
